This smart lock is designed with a touchscreen keypad, a traditional keyhole, and an attractive Augusta-styled lever. It gives you 3 ways to access your property: inputting a 4-8 digit code into the keypad, using a traditional turnkey, or remotely accessing the lock via a Z-Wave controller or smartphone app. You'll be able to create up to 500 unique PIN codes using a master code for programming, which means you can give codes to a variety of family members, visiting guests, or even hired help from landscapers to dog sitters.

As a part of the nexTouch series, this Yale lock comes with several advanced features including ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certification for long-lasting use, a Door Position Switch to disable the exterior keypad for privacy, free passage modes, lockout keypad functionality, voice-guided programming in 3 languages, and much more! And because it comes with Z-Wave Plus capabilities, it can easily be integrated into your Z-Wave network for home automation scenes. You'll also be able to control it remotely with a smartphone or tablet and receive notifications of when the lock was accessed and by whom.

Installation Details

Designed for use with most standard interior or exterior doors, the lever lock installs on standard doors measuring 1-3/4 inches thick or on 1-3/8" thick doors with a thin door kit (not included, part# 14-4761-0106). All the necessary hardware (latch, strike, screws, etc.) is included, along with a template for door preparation and detailed instructions.

This smart lock is powered by four (4) AA batteries, which are included and should last for about one year. When the battery is low, or wrong codes are entered, or the lock is tampered with, an alert is triggered. Programming is accomplished at the lock via the touchscreen keypad.
