This sectional lock comes with a touchscreen keypad, a deadlocking latch bolt with a turnkey cylinder, an additional thumbturn deadbolt, and a reversible leverset. This smart mortise lock provides three options to access your property: input a 4-8 digit code on the keypad, use a conventional key, or remotely unlock the door through a Z-Wave controller or smartphone app. Utilize a master code to streamline programming and create up to 500 individualized PIN codes that can be shared with a wide range of visitors, including family members, guests, or hired contractors.

As a part of the nexTouch series, this Yale lock comes with several advanced features including ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certification for long-lasting use, a Door Position Switch to disable the exterior keypad for privacy, free passage modes, lockout keypad functionality, voice-guided programming in 3 languages, and much more! And because it comes with Z-Wave Plus capabilities, it can easily be integrated into your Z-Wave network for home automation scenes. You'll also be able to control it remotely with a smartphone or tablet and receive notifications of when the lock was accessed and by whom.
Installation Details
The lock installs on standard interior or exterior doors measuring 1-3/4" thick. All the necessary hardware (latch, strike, screws, etc.) are included, along with a template for door preparation and detailed instructions. The latch bolt and leverset handle are reversible, making them suitable for left or right-handed operation.
The sectional lock is powered by four (4) included AA batteries that should last for approximately one year. The lock also supports an optional 9VDC backup power supply with a plug-in wall transformer (sold separately). The Z-Wave Network Module easily snaps in above the batteries. An alert is triggered when the battery is low, wrong codes are entered, or the lock is tampered with.
Programming is accomplished either at the lock with the keypad or through your Z-Wave system controller. The lock provides voice-assisted programming with adjustable volume to guide you through the setup process. Voice assistance is available in English, Spanish, and French.
