Garage Door Remote Access With Z-Wave Control

Add Z-Wave control and remote access to your garage door with the Ecolink Z-Wave Garage Door Controller. Compatible with most legacy garage door openers, this unique controller can easily be integrated into any Z-Wave network because it works with Z-Wave, Z-Wave Plus 500, Z-Wave Plus 700, and Z-Wave Plus 800 series compatible home automation hubs or security controllers. With up to 2200 feet line-of-site communication with a paired Z-Wave hub/panel, this garage door controller will provide real time status of your garage door and allow you to open and close the door from a remote location using your Z-Wave hub's app. The Ecolink Z-Wave Garage Door Controller also includes a tilt sensor that utilizes the 345 Mhz frequency to transmit the garage door's open/close state to your hub/panel. For added security, it can ignore control commands to the garage door if it deems it's unsafe to execute the command.

Installation Details

The Ecolink Z-Wave Garage Door Controller can easily be mounted onto the existing L bracket and be connected directly to the garage door operator, which enables communication with the Z-Wave hub or security panel. Mount the included door sensor to the garage door, or if you prefer, you can use a hard-wired reed switch to monitor the state of the garage door. For controlling the garage door opener, you'll need to wirelessly pair the Z-Wave Garage Door Controller to the garage door opener or use a hard-wired connection to the garage door opener's button terminal. Pair the Z-Wave Garage Door Controller to your Z-Wave enabled hub or security panel; then test if it can open or close the garage door via the "test" mode and whether or not it can be controlled via your Z-Wave network.

Z-Wave Plus v3 is an upgraded Z-Wave certification program to help you identify products that take advantage of the latest Z-Wave hardware platform, also known as 800 Series or Gen8 Z-Wave. Z-Wave Plus v3 compatible devices include extended wireless range up to 1300 ft/400 m indoors, three layers of encryption, faster operation, and up to 10 year battery life.
