Home Controls now carries Overture by Broan-Nutone, the first fully integrated and connected smart Indoor Air Quality System.

Overture's cloud-based system combines smart sensors, switches, and plug-in modules with your home's Broan-NuTone ventilation fans, range hood, and other fresh air system devices to automatically monitor for and eliminate polluted air and introduce fresh, filtered air. Our daily activities and the things we put in our home all contribute to poor indoor air quality. So much so that the air inside can be up to 5 times more polluted than the air outside. These pollutants can irritate asthma, cause respiratory issues, and make life miserable.

How Overture™ works in your home:

Overture™ devices use sophisticated sensors to monitor your home's indoor air quality and smart home automation technology to command home ventilation or circulation devices to improve air quality. When an Overture device detects a rise in indoor air pollution caused by increased humidity, temperature, carbon dioxide (CO2), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), or small airborne particle matter (also known as PM2.5), the system will automatically turn on the nearest ventilation device or system to replace the pollutants with fresh, clean air from outside. Overture devices have guaranteed compatibility with existing Broan-Nutone ventilation systems.

The Overture Smart Air Quality Monitor Room Sensor provides indoor air quality monitoring for rooms that do not have a ventilation fan. These sensors can be plugged into any 120V electrical outlet and trigger a Smart Wall Control when the Room Sensor detects pollutants in the air. The Room Sensor detects and measures Humidity, Temperature, Particle Matter (PM2.5), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), and CO2, giving you peace of mind that your indoor environment is healthy and comfortable.

The Overture™ Smart Plug activates your home's fresh air system when a room sensor anywhere in the home senses a rise in indoor air pollution and is installed where the home’s Fresh Air System is plugged in. Both the Smart Plug and the Room Sensor feature pass-through outlets so you don’t have to spend a free outlet or worry about blocking adjacent outlets. The Smart Plug detects changes in Humidity and Temperature, while also monitoring levels of Particle Matter (PM2.5), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), and CO2 in the air.

The Overture™ Smart Wall Control replaces a standard fan control switch to control connected ventilation fans in rooms such as the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. The Smart Wall Control includes built-in sensors of its own, allowing you to place an Overture Room Sensor or Smart Plug in a separate room for increased coverage against polluted air. The Wall Control detects and measures Humidity, Temperature, Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), and CO2.

The Overture App allows you to fully customize your system to meet your needs and comfort level. The app provides an overview of your entire home's air quality as well as a detailed view of each room in which a sensor has been placed. An Indoor Air Quality indicator provides live data for each room and the whole home, giving you a snapshot of your current IAQ levels. Finally, Overture devices are voice control compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant via the Overture app. By asking Alexa or Google to either “Open/Ask/Talk to Overture Application”, you can turn On/Off or check the status of your Overture device status, monitor air quality levels in rooms with Overture devices, and activate preprogrammed scenes or routines.
