With the X10 Mini Controller, you can instantly control eight sets of lights or appliances in your home. One button turns your home on in the morning so you can start your coffeemaker and switch on the bedroom light without even getting out of bed. Turn it all off at night without having to check every room in the house. The dim/brighten button even allows you to dim and brighten lights that you couldn't before.

How It Works
X10 is a powerline carrier (PLC) signaling language that enables control signals to be transmitted anywhere in your house over your existing electrical lines. Simply plug in a controller (transmitter) at one electrical outlet and plug in a module (receiver) at any other outlet and you have remote control of that module! This enables you to have the remote and automated control of lights and appliances from anywhere on your property.
NOTE: Each appliance/light must be connected to the controller with a corresponding X10 module (sold separately).
The X10 Desktop Mini Controller is an X10 Plug-In Transmitter
A basic X10 system includes a Transmitter and a Receiver – both sold separately. Transmitters are control devices that send X10 signals through your home's electrical wiring to X10 Receivers. When a Receiver receives a command, it responds by turning a light, appliance or other electrical device On or Off, and sometimes Dim or Bright.
