The ZTech 4 Zones HVAC Controller is an HVAC zone controller that operates up to 4 independent comfort zones in your home using your single stage heat/cool or heat pump system! Zoning reduces energy use by not heating or cooling unused zones. It also improves comfort level within the home by allowing independent control of each zone's temperature. In addition, zoning improves your system's efficiency by satisfying heat/cool calls faster, and extends the HVAC system life reducing run times!

For two story homes, the thermal equalizer feature does away with the age-old problem of too much heat upstairs and too little downstairs, and provides for further energy savings by recycling the excess upstairs heat to the lower levels. This zone controller works great with standard non-power stealing single stage heat/cool or heat pump thermostats or ZTech communicating thermostats controlled by X-10 or RS232/485 systems. Easily installed and comes in a compact 6" x 8" x 1.5" one pound chassis.

• Works with heat pump HVAC systems: two stage heat, single stage cooling systems
• Automatically switches between heating and cooling modes based on the current room temperature
• Works with normally open, two position, spring return, 24VAC, 2-wire motorized dampers (four 2-wired damper connections)
• Thermal Equalizer helps to distribute heat more evenly by circulating air from warmer areas to cooler ones

• Use only electronic thermostats that are battery operated or use BOTH sides of the 24VAC power from the HVAC system.
