Add streaming audio to your home audio system with the Russound MBX-AMP Wi-Fi Streaming Zone Amplifier! This audio streaming player can act as a standalone audio amplifier or be included into an existing Russound or 3rd party audio system to deliver local and wireless streaming sources to connected zones. The Wi-Fi Streaming Zone Amplifier connects to your Internet network to deliver 3 local audio sources and 1 Bluetooth streaming source to 2 local outputs and any connected wireless streaming zones. The MBX-AMP can also stream audio to up to 32 wireless zones in a single system when connected to other Russound MBX-Series streaming devices or up to 48 total zones when incorporated with Russound MCA-series amplifiers. The MBX-AMP can stream audio from popular streaming services via Apple AirPlay2 or Chromecast from your mobile devices, computers, or IP controllers on the same Internet network.

The Wi-Fi Streaming Zone Amplifier provides local control of the amplifier's core command features through front-facing pushbuttons. You can play, pause, raise/lower volume and save up to two "favorite" sources at the push of a button. A One Touch to Music feature automatically starts the last played audio source when the Play button is pressed when no media is currently active. If you have a smart TV or have connected your TV to your audio system, the MBX-AMP has a TV Integration feature that enables the amplifier to play audio from your audio system through your TV speakers and vice versa without having to use any additional hardware or control system.

The intuitive MyRussound™ App controls the entire Russound system from smart tablets and smartphones. The MyRussound app takes advantage of all of the features available to your Russound devices to simplify control of your Russound audio system no matter the scale or configuration. Control everything from small audio systems of only a few rooms in the home to the most complex audio installations.

Installation Details

The MBX-AMP Wi-Fi Streaming Zone Amplifier's small design allows it to easily be stored and hidden anywhere you choose, whether it is placed on a flat surface or mounted into a media cabinet or enclosure. Connect the MBX-AMP Amplifier to your Internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection. The amplifier and connected audio sources and zones can be controlled through the MyRussound mobile app and by IP controllers on the same Internet network including the Russound XTS7 Touchscreen and IPK-1 Keypad.
