Battery-Powered Beam Detection for Wireless Systems

Save on installation time and costs by monitoring a perimeter with the battery-powered Optex Wireless Photoelectric Beam Detector. No wiring or trenching is required! Designed for use with any wireless alarm system, the beam transmitter and beam receiver wire into wireless transmitters (not included) to relay wireless alarm conditions to your system’s receiver. The set comes with a multi-functional back box on each unit to house your wireless transmitters.

Installation Details

The beam transmitter and beam receiver can be mounted on separate poles or walls up to 100 or 200 feet (depending on model) away from each other. Mounting hardware is included. Through wireless transmitters (sold separately), the system sends wireless signals to your alarm system to provide alerts.

  • A.G.C. (Automatic Gain Control) circuit: A.G.C. circuit continually monitors for gradual changes in the signal’s strength caused by changing weather conditions. It adjusts the sensitivity accordingly to maintain the proper signal level for the current environmental conditions.
  • 99% beam blocking stability: Enables stable operation with as much as 99 percent loss of beam energy caused by heavy rain, dust storms, fog or snow.
  • Adjustable beam interruption period: The beam interruption time can be adjusted to fit any application. For example, when protecting catch intruders.
  • Back box: Back box can conceal two wireless transmitters and batteries.
  • N.C./N.O. selection switch: Both N.C. and N.O. input wireless transmitters can be used.
  • Battery saving function: Turning ON the battery saving timer switch reduces the battery consumption of the wireless transmitter.
  • Intermittent output function: Turning ON the intermittent output function forces intermittent output while the problem status exists.
  • LED indicator for an easy alignment: It flickers on/off to help with easy alignment located on the receiver.
  • D.Q. circuit (environmental disqualification): The environmental compensation circuit is designed to eliminate false alarms caused misalignment.
