Control Leviton Occupancy Sensors

For use with switches and Leviton occupancy sensors, the Leviton OSP-RDH Super Duty Power Pack is a Title 24 compliant self-contained transformer and relay with manual/automatic operation. It contains an integrated power supply, load switching relay, and HVAC relay, providing high-performance switching for a variety of applications. As an energy-saving "Auto-On/Override" Power Pack, the unit can be turned On/Off automatically using an occupancy sensor input, a timer, panel or BAS input. Manual control is also an option using a low voltage momentary switch.

  • Used with momentary and maintained switches to control occupancy sensors
  • Works with Leviton's OSCxx, OSWxx, ODCxx, and ODWxx sensors or Add-A-Relay
  • Supports "Manual-On" or "Auto-On" functionality for bi-level lighting control
  • Dry contact relay and override inputs for occupancy sensors
  • Fail-safe operation turns power on if Power Pack malfunctions or loses power
  • Plenum-rated; can mount in fluorescent ballast cavity or inside/outside J box

This model features an H.I.S. (High Inrush Stability) circuit to handle high inrush electronic ballast loads, including T5HO and T4 ballasts. Another standout feature is the Power Pack's plenum rating, which allows installation in a broad range of spaces.

Operational Details

The power supply provides Class II low-voltage power for Leviton's OSCxx, OSWxx, ODCxx, and ODWxx Series Occupancy Sensors or the OSA20 Add-A-Relay (all sold separately). Its "Return-To-On" design provides fail-safe operation in the event of power loss or malfunction.

The Power Pack's transformer relay function replaces traditional transformer relays and provides occupancy sensors control. This is ideal for use where code requirements prohibit the use of 277V switch legs. The relay is controlled by the occupancy sensors connected via the 22 Gauge Blue "occupancy" wire. Multiple occupancy sensors can be connected to a single Power Pack to deliver total area coverage.

The Power Pack includes zero cross switching circuitry to minimize inrush current associated with incandescent and electronic ballasts. This reduces wear and tear on the relay contacts making the Power Pack last longer. The Power Pack also comes with a conduit adaptor to support low voltage connections.

Common Applications With Leviton Occupancy Sensors:

  • Bi-level lighting applications
  • Classrooms
  • Conference rooms
  • Offices
  • Load Shed/Interface Hold OFF Applications
  • Retail Hold ON/Bypass Applications

Rugged Construction Offers Extreme Durability

Endurance tested to over 1,000,000 cycles at full load, the Power Pack is built to last. Strengthening features include a design that exceeds WS-896 Federal Specification duty cycle requirements for specification-grade toggle switches. The Power Pack also incorporates a zero crossing design for reliability and extended life. And its mechanical latching relay is made to operate reliably for any load type.

Plenum-Rated for Wide Applications

Install the Power Pack wherever you need to. Featuring UL 2043 plenum-rated construction that has passed rigorous burn testing standards, the unit has UL 94HB rated polycarbonate housing, evaluated to the 5" flammability requirement, with Teflon-coated low-voltage leads. This plenum rating allows safe installation in a junction box, fluorescent ballast cavity, or air handling space above the ceiling, also known as a "Return Air Plenum".
