Ensure everyone on your property is properly warned when smoke and carbon monoxide is detected with the BRK 1046815 First Alert Photoelectric Interconnected Wireless Smoke & CO Alarm with Voice Location. When smoke or carbon monoxide is detected, this smoke and CO alarm activates with a loud voice warning that announces the location of the danger (e.g., "Warning, Evacuate, Smoke/Carbon Monoxide in Basement"), loud beeps from the horn will be heard, and the built-in LED flashes red for a visual indicator of the danger. This wireless smoke and CO alarm can also operate on a mesh network with up to 18 compatible First Alert and BRK alarm units interconnected (maximum of 12 smoke alarms), so when one alarm sounds, all compatible alarms do as well.
This smoke and CO alarm is designed with a photoelectric smoke sensing chamber and an electrochemical sensor. The photoelectric smoke sensing chamber detects large particles produced by fires that may smolder for hours before emitting flames. Smoldering fires sources may include burning cigarettes, fireplace embers, or electrical shorts. The electrochemical sensor detects high levels of carbon monoxide in instances where gas can build up at deadly levels due to incorrectly installed or poorly maintained or ventilated appliances such as stoves, hot water heaters, or other gas/wood burning appliances. Additionally, this smoke and CO alarm features a fully screened sensing chamber to keep small insects out, and an End of Life signal to warn you when it's time to replace the batteries.

Interconnect Alarms operate on a mesh network that integrates multiple wireless or wired alarms for better safety and response in an emergency. The mesh network of alarms re-routes and resends the signal via other First Alert alarms, providing a greater chance all alarms will receive the signal. Up to 18 total units can be interconnected, wireless or hardwired: with a maximum of 12 smoke alarms and 6 carbon monoxide alarms. Ordinarily, wireless and hardwired alarms cannot work together on the same interconnected network. However, with the hardwired bridge unit (BRK model SA520B, sold separately), hardwired and wireless models can be interconnected together on the same mesh network.
Installation Details
The BRK 1046815 CO Alarm includes mounting hardware and is ideal for ceiling and wall mount installations. The detector mounts either on a wall or ceiling with the included hardware. Tamper-resistant locking pins lock the battery in place and help prevent unauthorized removal by securing the detector to the mounting bracket. The detector's side-loading battery compartment allows you to avoid setting off false alarms and easily replace the battery anytime.
