Overview

The Multisensor Quad integrates four functions: (1) Door/window, (2) PIR motion, (3) illumination, and (4) temperature. It consists of a Detector and a Magnet — the Magnet mounts on the moving part of the door/window, the Detector on the fixed frame. Opening a protected door/window removes the magnetic field, triggering the detector (and an alarm if the system is armed). When paired with a Z-Wave controller, the sensor can also drive home automation: e.g., detecting PIR motion combined with low ambient illumination to trigger connected lighting automatically.

Every time the door/window sensor triggers, the unit also reports current temperature and illumination values; temperature changes are also reported independently.

• Automated lighting: when ambient light drops below the preset threshold after sunset and the sensor is installed near a door, coming-in motion turns on lights automatically for better illumination.
• Portal chime: can act as a front-desk chime at a hotel or restaurant by sending a signal to a Zipato IP-Gateway (PSC01), which can drive a connected speaker as a reminder chime — silenceable when customers leave.
• Business hours automation: during non-working hours it serves as a security motion sensor protecting the office from intruders; during working hours it can drive curtain/heater/cooler control for energy savings by detecting whether anyone is present, rather than relying on a fixed thermostat schedule.
• Digital home starter kit: paired with a 4-in-1 gateway (PSC01: siren + speaker + light + IP-based controller), the Multisensor Quad covers security, safety, and automation in a single affordable package.
