Yale Real Living Z-Wave Module (YRMZW1) — Installation & Programming Instructions

Overview

The Yale Real Living™ Z-Wave® Module (Model YRMZW1) adds Z-Wave wireless network connectivity to compatible Yale Real Living electronic locks, allowing them to be controlled and monitored through a Z-Wave home automation network.

Installing the Z-Wave® Module

IMPORTANT: Batteries must be removed before removing and/or inserting the network module.

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Remove the batteries.
3. Remove and/or insert the network module.
4. Reinstall the batteries.
5. Replace the cover.

Enrolling / Unenrolling the Network Module

It's recommended that the lock be programmed through a centralized user interface (PC or hand-held device) to ensure proper communication between the lock and the Z-Wave controller unit. The network controller must first be placed in enrollment or exclusion mode before the lock can be enrolled or unenrolled from the network.

To Enroll the Module

• Enter the 4–8 digit Master PIN code, followed by the programming key.
• Press the designated key sequence as prompted on the lock's keypad (per the enrollment key sequence in the printed manual).

To Unenroll the Module

• Enter the 4–8 digit Master PIN code, followed by the programming key.
• Press the designated key sequence as prompted on the lock's keypad to remove the lock from the network.
