    Setup and operating instructions for the X10 WS467 Wall Dimmer Module — an X10-controlled in-wall dimmer switch for incandescent lighting.

    Overview

    The WS467 Wall Dimmer Module controls incandescent-only lights rated between 40W and 500W. Lights rated below 40W may flicker or operate erratically. It replaces a standard wall switch controlling an indoor or outdoor ceiling light, and includes a push-button for local on/off control.

    Warning: Wall Dimmer Modules must not be used to control appliances, low-voltage lamps, or fluorescent lamps.

    Installing the Wall Dimmer Module

    1. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker panel.
    2. Remove the wall plate and unscrew the existing switch from its box.
    3. Remove the two wires from the old switch and connect them to the two wires on the WS467 using the provided wire nuts. Make sure no bare wire strands are exposed; use insulating tape over wire nuts if necessary.
    4. Screw the switch into its wall box (don't replace the wall plate yet).

    Setting Up and Operating the Wall Dimmer Module

    1. Set the House Code dial to the same letter (A through P) used on your X10 controller(s).
    2. Set the Unit Code dial to an unused code (1–16) to be controlled from any X10 controller.
    3. Set the power on-off slide switch (under the push button) to the ON (center) position. Turn it OFF (left) when changing a light bulb.
    4. Replace the wall plate.
    5. Turn power back on at the circuit breaker panel.
    6. Press the push button to turn the module on and off locally.
    7. Turn the module on/off and dim/brighten it remotely from X10 controllers.

    Wiring

    The WS467 has four wires: two black wires (to live or lamp), one blue wire, and one black wire (to lamp or live) — connect per the diagram printed on the unit label, matching the wire colors from your existing switch to the corresponding WS467 wires.

    Warranty

    X10.com, a division of X10 Wireless Technology, Inc., warrants X10 products to be free from defective material and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of retail purchase. X10 will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, a defective product returned within the warranty period with proof of purchase.
