Installation and programming guide for the X10 SS13A wireless wall transmitter module — adhesive-mount, battery-powered X10 remote switch.
Installation and programming guide for the X10 SS13A Wireless Wall Transmitter Module — a battery-powered, adhesive-mount X10 remote control switch that requires no wiring or wall cutting.
The SS13A is an ultra-thin (1/4"), lightweight wireless X10 wall transmitter module that adheres to any surface with included double-sided tape. Single push-button programming gives wireless remote control of up to 3 X10 Receiver Modules on consecutive addresses (e.g. A1, A2, A3), plus dimming capability via a fourth button. It's powered by a thin 3-volt lithium (CR2032) battery, included.
Compatible/supplementary modules: WS467 Standard Incandescent Wall Switch Module, LM465 Plug-in Lamp Module, AM486/AM466 Plug-in 2- and 3-pin Appliance Modules.
Nearly all residential homes are wired split-phase — each 120V phase is not directly connected to the other. If an X10 Receiver doesn't respond to a remote Controller after installation, check that the breaker serving the receiver is on the same phase as the controller; if not, move it to the opposite phase, or install a Phase Coupler to improve whole-home communication.
Once set up, operate installed X10 Receiver Modules by pressing the corresponding ON/OFF button on the remote. For dimming modules, press ON first, then Bright or Dim on the bottom rocker key.
If the sequence isn't followed correctly, the LED stays on for 1 second and the existing setting is unchanged.
The second and third rocker keys follow sequentially from the first — e.g. if the first rocker is set to Unit 6, the second is 7 and the third is 8.
Pull out the battery holder, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2032 3V lithium battery with the flat (+) side up. Push the holder back into its slot.
Note: As with all RF transmitters, electrical fields, metal doors/window frames, and appliances can interfere with and weaken the transmitted signal. Relocating the TM751 RF Base Transceiver may improve reception from the SS13A.
