    Full text manual (for reference)

    Overview

The SECO-LARM ENFORCER® Wave-to-Open Sensor (SD-9x63-KSxQ series) is a touchless IR exit plate that allows egress from a protected area, or activates a device, with a simple wave of the hand. Since no touch is required, it's well-suited for hospitals, clinics, labs, cleanrooms, schools, factories, and offices. Available in Slimline, Single-Gang, European Plate, and Double-Gang faceplate styles, in English, Spanish, and French, with or without a mechanical override button.

    Wiring

Four color-coded wires connect the sensor to power and the controlled device:

    • Red wire: +12–24 VDC
    • Brown wire: Ground (-)
    • Blue wire: COM
    • Purple wire: N.O. (normally open)
    • Green wire: N.C. (normally closed)

Models with the Form C mechanical override button use the same wiring; the override button is prewired at the factory and requires no additional wiring.

WARNING: Do not connect any device that will exceed 1.2A @ 24VDC.

    Installation

    1. Run four wires through the wall to a single-gang, slimline, or European back box.
    2. Connect the four wires from the back box to the Request-to-Exit sensor per the wiring diagram.
    3. For weatherproof installation, use a waterproof back box and apply a bead of silicone sealant (not included) around the rim of the back box and faceplate edge, plus a small amount below each screw head.
    4. Screw the plate into the back box, taking care not to crimp the wires and ensuring a good seal.
    5. Remove the clear protective film from the sensor before use.

    Adjustments

    LED Color Jumper

On Slimline models, jumper placement selects standby-green/trigger-red or standby-red/trigger-green. On Single-Gang, Double-Gang, and Euro models, the default is standby-red/trigger-green (jumper can be moved for standby-green/trigger-red).

    Sensor Range and Trigger Time

    • Sensor range: adjustable from 2" to 7" (5–18 cm). Default: 7" (18cm).
    • Trigger time: adjustable from 0.8 to 30 seconds, or toggle mode (turn the trimpot fully clockwise for toggle, with trigger time set to maximum). Default: 0.8 seconds.

Note: Do not force the adjustment trimpots — only minimal force is needed to turn them.

    Care and Cleaning

    1. Use a soft, clean cloth with the mildest cleaner available.
    2. Spray the cleaning solution onto the cloth, not directly onto the unit.
    3. Wipe off any excess liquid — wet spots may affect sensor performance.

    Important Warnings

    • Users and installers are responsible for ensuring the installation and configuration of this product complies with all applicable national, state, and local laws and codes related to locking and egress devices.
    • For weatherproof installation, the unit must be installed in a waterproof back box with the faceplate and screws properly sealed. Incorrect mounting may expose the enclosure to rain or moisture, which could cause electric shock, device damage, and voids the warranty.
