    The X10 PRO PowerFlash Security Interface (PSC01) converts a "make or break" contact signal from a security panel, driveway sensor, doorbell, or magnetic door/window switch into an X10 wireless command — triggering lights, chimes, or sirens automatically.

    What It Does

    The PowerFlash module sends an X10 signal in response to activation from an equipment output — security panels, driveway sensors, doorbells, and similar devices. It can be triggered by a low-voltage output or by a dry contact switch closure. On activation, it sends an X10 ON-type signal; when the trigger clears, it sends an X10 OFF-type signal.

    Specific Requirements

    • 120VAC power (plugs directly into an outlet)
    • Input Mode "A": 0–18V AC or DC at the input terminals (e.g., bell voltage from an alarm panel)
    • Input Mode "B": Contact closure at the input terminals (e.g., doorbell button or contact switch)

    X10 Protocol

    House Code Dial: Letters A–P. Unit Number Dial: Numbers 1–16. Each receiver module is set to a unique (or shared) unit number; the controller must be set to the same house code as the receivers it controls.

    Electrical Protocol Note

    Residential wiring is typically split-phase — if a receiver doesn't respond, check that its breaker shares the same phase as the controller (swap breakers if needed), or install a Phase Coupler for more reliable whole-home communication.     Installation by Application

    • Security System: Connect to a contact closure or voltage output, set the input mode accordingly, and set Output Mode 2 (Flashing) for lights and siren.
    • Driveway System: Connect to a contact closure or voltage output, set the input mode accordingly, and set Output Mode 3 for light and/or chime.
    • Doorbell System: Wire to the doorbell button or ringer, set the input mode accordingly, and set Output Mode 3 for light and/or chime.

    Output Modes

    Mode Engaged (triggered) Disengaged (cleared)
    1 Sends ALL LIGHTS ON (wall switches/lamp modules) + ON at Set Address (appliance/fixture modules) Sends OFF at Set Address; other switches/modules remain ON
    2 Continuous ALL LIGHTS ON / ALL UNITS OFF flashing (sets off X10 siren after a few cycles) Flashing stops; switches/modules remain ON (siren stops after a few seconds)
    3 Sends ON at Set Address Sends OFF at Set Address

    Test Button

    Use with no wires attached (Output Mode set to 3): pressing TEST sends an X10 ON command at the Set Address; releasing sends an X10 OFF command.
