WaterCop Leak Stop+ — Single Point Leak Detection & Automatic Shut-Off Specifications

Specification sheet for the WaterCop® Leak Stop+ single-point leak detection and automatic shut-off system — designed to help stop extensive water damage from plumbing leaks.

Overview

Leak Stop+ detects plumbing leaks at a single location, sounds an audible alarm, and automatically shuts off the water supply. An RJ45 jack allows integration with SmartConnect for mobile alerts to a smartphone or tablet, and with home security or automation systems for notifications when the shut-off has activated. Leak Stop+ is ideal for water heaters, recirculation pumps, and softeners, which become particularly vulnerable to leaks as they age.

• Brass ball valve with electric actuator and two attached moisture sensors
• Constantly monitors the selected area for accumulating moisture
• Audible alarm sounds when a leak is detected
• Shut-off valve remains closed until manually reset
• Valve can be controlled independently of water leaks via open/close soft-touch buttons on the actuator
• RJ45 jack for integration with SmartConnect or security/home automation systems
• Signal output to third-party devices to notify of shut-off

Note: Leak Stop+ does not operate with other WaterCop® wireless sensors.

Installation

Designed for plumbing supply line installation, upstream of the appliance or area you wish to monitor — most commonly a water heater. Place the two sensor probes in the area where water would first accumulate if a leak occurs.
