    Battery Installation and Replacement

    1. For first-time installation, use a thumb or flathead screwdriver to hold down the bottom tab and pull off the cover.
    2. Insert the included CR2032 battery with the plus (+) side up.
    3. Once mounted, to access the battery, grab the bottom of the cover, squeeze slightly, and pull.

Program the receiver with the sensor and select a sound (see STI-3353 section below). Mount with the provided screws or tape; keep the cover off during mounting.

    STI-3551 Wireless Entry Alert Sensor

Open the sensor and insert the AAA battery (included) as shown in the manual diagrams. Program the receiver with the sensor and select a sound (see STI-3353 section). Mount using the provided double-sided tape.

Alignment: Maximum gap is 5/8" on a non-metallic surface — on a metallic surface, the effective distance may be reduced. Mount the arrow on the magnet adjacent to the alignment line on the sensor.

    Mounting and Programming

    1. Mount the base at 7.5 feet (ideal height) using the provided wall anchors and mounting screws.
    2. Program the PIR sensor and select a sound (see STI-3353 section).
    3. Adjust the PIR detection range as necessary (H - 42', M - 30', L - 20').
    4. Align the top of the cover over the tabs on the PIR, rotate down, and install the cover screw.
    5. Loosely place the lock ring on the post connected to the PIR (do not snap), then press the PIR onto the base.
    6. Adjust the PIR to the desired detection angle, then snap the lock ring into position.

Testing: Once mounted, test for optimal placement. The unit detects motion every 10–15 seconds, with a 10–15 second reset delay after each detection. The battery is a Lithium CR123 (included).

    Programming Receiver with Sensors

    1. Plug the receiver into a 120 VAC outlet.
    2. Press and release the program button on the receiver — it will make a tone.
    3. Press and release the program/sound selection button on the sensor(s) — the receiver will make a tone confirming success.
    4. Press the program button on the receiver to exit program mode (or wait 20 seconds for automatic exit).

    Sound Selection (all sensors)

After programming the receiver with a sensor, press and hold the program/sound selection button on the sensor until you hear a BEEP on the receiver (~5 seconds). After the BEEP, press the button again to scroll through and select an available sound. Once your desired sound finishes playing, HOLD the button to save and exit (~5 seconds until the receiver BEEPS).

Volume Control (receiver): Up = High, Down = Low.

    Troubleshooting

    Problem Affected Component Suggested Fix
Does not sound Doorbell (3301) Verify batteries are correctly installed; check outlet power; confirm receiver and button are within 500' range (range varies with environment); verify minimum 110VAC power to receiver.
Does not sound Entry Alert (3551) Check that sensor and magnet are aligned correctly and no more than 5/8" apart; verify battery installation and outlet power; confirm 500' range.
Does not sound Motion (3601) Replace motion sensor batteries; verify receiver is within 500' range; check that metal objects aren't blocking the signal or moving the receiver.
Does not sound Extender Check all wires to the chime terminal strip are tightly connected; confirm outlet power; extender may not be compatible with all doorbells (especially digital/musical); verify existing doorbell power is 16VAC, 10VA.
Receiver sounds randomly Doorbell Make sure the silicone button is properly aligned.
Receiver sounds randomly Entry Alert The magnet may be mounted too far away, causing door vibration to trigger the chime — move the magnet closer to the sensor.
Receiver sounds randomly Motion Check for moving objects like trees, animals, or insects near the sensor surface; ensure sensor is mounted securely.
All sensors play the same tune All Use the program/sound selection button on each sensor to change its sound. (Extender front/back door sounds are fixed; confirm black and brown wires aren't shorted.)
