    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation and operation manual for the STI-V34104 4-Channel Voice Receiver β€” a long-range wireless receiver that works with the full range of STI Wireless Alert Series sensors, providing spoken voice messages and selectable tones.

    How the Product Works

The 4-Channel Voice Receiver works with STI Wireless Alert Series sensors and can achieve up to 1,000 ft of receiver range (line of sight). Four zone indicators light up to show which sensor has triggered. Sensors ship with default messages, or you can program your own using up to four words/tones from a preprogrammed list. All voice messages are available in English or Spanish. The receiver is intended for indoor use only.

    Easy Startup

Install batteries in the sensor, plug in the receiver, and listen to the spoken instructions β€” the unit guides you through programming verbally.

    Controls & Indicators

    • Antenna Jack β€” internal antenna included; use an external antenna for maximum range
    • Volume Control β€” High/Low
    • Power Supply Jack (STI-34105) β€” 12VDC 500mA input, switching/regulated, UL Class II / FCC / C minimum
    • Acknowledge Button β€” resets all flashing red zones; light flickers green as an STI sensor signal is detected
    • Zone/Message Selection Button β€” scrolls through default messages per zone
    • Program Switch β€” toggles between Normal and Program modes
    • Advanced Programming Dip Switches (3-8) β€” in Program mode, provide access to 63 messages/tones
    • System Reset β€” clears all programmed zones

    Four Zone Light Indicators

    • Solid Red β€” sensor is currently triggered
    • Flashing Red β€” zone triggered in latching mode; press Acknowledge to reset (returns to green)
    • Amber β€” sensor maintenance required (tamper or low battery)
    • Green β€” sensor programmed and normal
    • No light β€” sensor not programmed

    Zone Programming

The receiver only accepts wireless signals from STI Wireless Alert Series products. Program up to 4 sensors or keyfobs β€” you cannot program into an occupied zone or program the same sensor into more than one zone. During programming, the unit announces "Please change to normal mode if programming is completed" every 60 seconds. Default language is English; move dip switch 1 to ON (up) for Spanish.

Modes of Operation (set per-zone at time of programming)

    • Zone Latching (Dip Switch #2 OFF): When triggered, the red zone light is solid. "Latching" means a zone was triggered but has since cleared, indicated by a flashing red LED. Press Acknowledge to reset.
    • Zone Auto Restore (Dip Switch #2 ON): Sounds when triggered, then automatically restores to solid green without needing the acknowledge button.

    Dip Switch Functions

Dip Switch Normal Mode: OFF Normal Mode: ON Program Mode: ON
    1 β€” English (default) Spanish
2 β€” Latching (default) Auto Restore
3 Pre-Alert Tone (default) No Tone Tone/Word Select
    4-8 β€” β€” Tone/Word Select

    Programming Steps

    1. Plug in the receiver.
    2. Listen to the verbal voice commands, which guide you through programming.

Notes: Press the Acknowledge button at any time to stop the voice. Make sure the sensor's battery is installed β€” each sensor provides an initial "DONG" sound to confirm. Use the zone/message selection button to scroll through default messages for each programmed zone. Accept a tone/message by switching to Normal mode; change it later by returning to Program mode and pressing the selection button again.

Default Message Categories by Sensor Type

Default scrollable messages vary by sensor category, including: Universal/Garage Sentry/Mailbox Alert (Mailbox, Door, Gate, Window, Cover, Garage Sentry, Temperature, Sump Pump, Freezer, Refrigerator, Water Level, plus tones); Doorbell Button (Call, Alert, Assistance, Service, Door, Customer, plus tones); Driveway Monitor (Front/Side/Rear Driveway, plus tones); Entry Alert (Front/Side/Rear/Exit Door Alert, Gate Alert, Dock Alert, plus tones); Indoor/Outdoor PIR (Motion Front/Side/Rear/Driveway/Upstairs/Downstairs, Customer, plus tones); Exit/Fire Extinguisher Stopper (Emergency Door Alert, Front/Side/Rear Extinguisher Alert, Assistance, Extinguisher, Hall, plus tones); Stopper Station Shield (Assistance, Alert, Protective Cover, plus tones). All categories also support "No Sound" (zone light indicator still operates).

    Advanced Programming (Custom Messages)

Dip switches 3-8 provide access to all 63 available messages/tones, which can be assigned to any zone. Up to 4 messages/tones can be combined into a custom message (e.g. "Ding Dong β€” Customer Service Alert").

    1. Set the switch to Program mode.
    2. Press the zone/message selection button for the sensor you're programming.
    3. Move dip switches to the code for your desired word/tone.
    4. Press the zone/message selection button to accept β€” repeat for up to four words/tones total.
    5. Move the switch back to Normal mode when done, then test/trigger the sensor.

Caution: Do not leave all dip switches in OFF (down) position while selecting a custom message β€” this resets the entire message. If you make a mistake, press the Acknowledge button to revert to the previous message and start again.

The full alphabetical dip-switch code chart (English/Spanish) covers 63 words/tones across categories including chimes/tones (Ding, Dong, Ding-Dong, Buzzer, Bell, Chimes, Knock, Jingle Bells, Dogs Barking), locations (Front, Rear, Side, Garage, Kitchen, Basement, Upstairs, Downstairs, Driveway, Dock, Patio, Pool, Shed), alerts (Alert, Assistance, Call, Close, Customer, Emergency, Exit, Extinguisher, Monitor, Motion, Open, Pre-Alert, Service, Theft, Trouble), and objects (Button, Cabinet, Cover, Door, Freezer, Gate, Gun, Keyfob, Liquor, Mailbox, Medicine, Protective Cover, Refrigerator, Safe, Sump Pump, Window) plus numbers One through Four. Full switch-position code tables are in the original PDF.

    Deleting a Sensor

    1. In Program mode, simultaneously press and hold the Acknowledge button and the zone/message selection button for 3 seconds.
    2. Success is confirmed when the receiver announces "Zone [number] is empty" and the green LED turns off.

    Low Battery / Tamper / Out-of-Range Alerts

The zone LED turns amber when a sensor needs maintenance (low battery or tampering). It stays on until the trouble condition clears and a new transmission is received. Replacing a sensor's battery does not require reprogramming.

    Mounting

The receiver can be wall-mounted or set on a table using the provided stand.
