    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation and operation manual for the STI-34108 8-Channel Receiver, part of the Safety Technology International (STI) wireless Alert Series. This 433 MHz receiver monitors up to 8 different STI wireless sensor devices from a single, convenient location.

    How the Product Works

The STI 8-Channel Receiver is a 433 MHz radio signal receiver that monitors up to 8 different STI devices. When placed in enroll mode, it lets you select one of 8 zones and enrolls a device once the receiver detects that device's wireless signal. STI's wireless system prevents accidental enrollment, alerts, or crosstalk from non-STI devices.

Per zone, you can configure: a latching memory condition, siren activation, chime sounding, a normally open/closed switch trigger, or a 12VDC external output. The receiver can also act as a console repeater when paired with other 8-Channel Receivers, extending coverage to up to 4 additional areas over long distances or through disruptive terrain.

    Other Controls

    • Push Button — Selects zone to enroll or delete, acknowledges latched alerts (resets LED to green), silences alarm.
    • Zone LEDs (1-8): Red = zone in alarm; Flashing red = zone latched (was in alarm, now restored); Amber = sensor trouble (battery/tamper); Green = zone normal; Off = zone not enrolled.
    • Sounder — Provides audio feedback for siren, chime/beeps, and enrollment/deletion actions.

    Component Descriptions (Bottom Side)

    • Adapter Plug Input — 12VDC, 500mA, center-positive (adapter provided)
    • Triggered Output Plug — 12VDC output, activates at 75mA for 3 seconds when any zone triggers
    • Form C Switch Outputs (Dry Contacts) — 30VDC, 1A resistive. N.O. closes to COM when alarm triggers; N.C. opens to COM when alarm triggers.
    • 12VDC Input (500mA) — Powers the receiver from an external 12VDC, 500mA source
    • 12VDC Output (300mA) — Active only while the onboard sounder is activated (siren or chime mode)

    Normal Operation

The receiver listens for 433 MHz signals from enrolled STI sensors, providing feedback via LED color, onboard sounder, switched Form C output terminals, a 3-second 12VDC/75mA triggered output pulse, and 12VDC output terminals synced with the sounder.

LED priority (highest to lowest): Red (alert) > Flashing Red (latched, non-triggered) > Amber (tamper alert, non-triggered) > Green (normal, non-triggered) > Off (not enrolled).

Siren Mode (SW6 OFF): 4 KHz @ 90dB tone for the duration set by SW4/SW5. Chime/Beep Mode (SW6 ON) overrides siren mode with a double beep on alert.

Low Battery / Tamper / Out-of-Range: If a sensor's battery is weak, a tamper signal is triggered, or the sensor is out of range for 12-24 hours, that zone's LED lights AMBER.

    Zone Enrolling & Deleting

The receiver enrolls up to 8 devices into zones 1-8 (sensors, mirrored receivers, or keyfobs). In ENROLL mode (SW2 ON), occupied zone LEDs turn red; the next available zone flashes green. Press the push button to cycle to a different available zone.

    Zone Latching

Latching indicates a zone alert was triggered and has since cleared — the LED flashes red until the push button is pressed to acknowledge, returning it to green. Latching is set per-zone at the time of enrollment via SW3.

    Enrolling Sensors into Zones

    1. Confirm the receiver is not in DELETE mode (SW7 OFF).
    2. Set desired latching (SW3 ON if latching is wanted).
    3. Enable ENROLL mode (SW2 ON).
    4. Confirm the correct zone is flashing green; note occupied (red) zones.
    5. Trigger an alert on the sensor and return it to normal.
    6. The receiver double-beeps and the zone LED turns solid red.
    7. Repeat for additional sensors.
    8. Exit ENROLL mode (SW2 OFF).

Tip: When first enrolling, set latching ON and enroll the sensor near the receiver before mounting it at its final location. After mounting, trigger it again to confirm signal — a solid or flashing red LED confirms reception. If latching isn't ultimately desired, delete and re-enroll that zone with SW3 OFF.

    Keyfob Operation

An STI keyfob can remotely control the receiver's LEDs, sounder, and outputs, and act as a CALL/MANUAL ALERT button. The receiver continues monitoring sensors even when turned off via keyfob.

    • ON/OFF buttons do not enroll into zones — they toggle all receiver outputs (equivalent to cycling the push button). Enroll via ENROLL mode (SW2 ON), press ON or OFF on the fob; receiver double-beeps. Up to 8 keyfob ON/OFF pairs can be enrolled — enrolling a 9th deletes the oldest.
    • LEFT/RIGHT buttons enroll into a zone like a sensor. LEFT = CALL/MANUAL ALERT, RIGHT = RESTORE.

    Mirrored Receiver Systems

Mirrored receivers duplicate the master receiver's LED status, sounder, siren time, and 12VDC output activation for sensors enrolled on the master. Up to 4 mirrors can be chained per master, each up to 1000 ft apart (multiple independent systems can also be linked to a central office/location).

Enrolling mirrors (sequential pairs — Master→Mirror1, Mirror1→Mirror2, etc.):

    1. Confirm receivers are not in DELETE mode (SW7 OFF).
    2. Set SW4/SW5 on each mirror to its mirror number (1-4).
    3. Set SW1 and SW8 ON on the master receiver; set SW8 ON on each mirror.
    4. Enable ENROLL mode (SW2 ON) on both receivers being paired.
    5. Press the push button on the "Column A" receiver — Column B receiver double-beeps.
    6. Press the push button on the "Column B" receiver — Column A receiver double-beeps.
    7. Disable ENROLL mode (SW2 OFF) on both.
    8. Press the push button on Column A — Column B's LEDs mirror the same configuration.

All sensors are enrolled only to the master receiver; mirrors copy the master's output (except latch settings) sequentially through Receivers 1-4. Keyfobs must be separately enrolled into each master/mirror receiver where they'll be used.

    Deleting Zones

    Deleting Single Zones

    1. Enter DELETE mode (SW7 ON) — all enrolled zone LEDs turn red, first deletable zone flashes red.
    2. Press/release the push button to cycle to the desired zone.
    3. Press and hold the push button for 5 seconds — receiver beeps once, LED turns off.

    Deleting All Zones (including keyfobs/mirrors)

    1. Enter DELETE mode (SW7 ON).
    2. Hold the push button for 5 seconds — first zone deletes (single beep, LED off).
    3. Continue holding — remaining zones flash for 5 seconds, then delete (double beep, all LEDs off).
