Sonic Alert SS120V — Super Shaker Bed Vibrator Manual

Operation and installation instructions for the Sonic Alert SS120V Super Shaker Bed Vibrator (120 Volt Vibrator). Designed to wake even heavy sleepers by physically vibrating the bed when triggered by a compatible Sonic Alert signaler.

Overview

When activated by a Sonic Alert wake-up alarm, doorbell signaler, telephone signaler, baby cry signaler, or any clock/timer with a standard 120V outlet, the Super Shaker bed vibrator will wake even a heavy sleeper. It uses a low-voltage, UL-listed transformer for safe operation, and includes a built-in automatic shut-off sensor so it will not overheat even if accidentally left running.

Installation

1. Place the Super Shaker between your mattress and box springs, or under your pillow.
2. Plug the Super Shaker into a Sonic Alert Wake-Up Alarm, Remote Receiver, or any alarm clock/timer with an AC outlet.
3. When used with a Wake-Up Alarm or alarm clock, the Super Shaker vibrates the instant the alarm sounds and continues until the alarm/clock is turned off.
   • Sonic Alert Wake-Up Alarms (Models WA300 and USS360) have a front-panel switch used to control a lamp plugged into the unit. Keep this switch in the OFF position when using the Super Shaker, so it doesn't vibrate continuously when the clock isn't ringing. Turning the switch to ON will keep the Super Shaker vibrating all day.
4. When used with Sonic Alert Remote Receivers (Model SA101 or SA201), the Super Shaker begins vibrating as soon as it receives a signal from any Sonic Alert Signaler (doorbell, telephone, or baby cry signaler).
   • The SA201 Remote Receiver also has a front-panel lamp switch — keep it in the OFF position, or the Super Shaker will vibrate continuously all day.

Automatic Safety Shut-Off

If left running for more than approximately 10 minutes, a built-in temperature sensor automatically shuts the Super Shaker off to prevent overheating. Once cooled, the sensor resets automatically, restoring the vibrator to normal operation.
