Operation instructions for the Sonic Alert Sonic Boom Dual Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker, Model SBD375ss — a dual-alarm clock with adjustable tone, volume, and vibrating bed shaker for the hard of hearing.

Safety Warnings

• To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not remove the cover (or back) from the product — no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to your Sonic Alert dealer.
• To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
• Before connecting to mains, make sure the power requirements specified on the unit match your available power supply (USA: AC 110V / 60Hz).

Setting the Correct Time

1. Depress the "TIME SET" button (9).
2. While holding "TIME SET", press the "FAST" (6) or "SLOW" (7) button to advance the display to the desired time.
3. The lighted dot (4) in the upper-left of the display indicates PM; no light indicates AM.

Setting the Alarm Time

1. Slide the "DUAL ALARM SETTING SWITCH" (1) to the AL1 position.
2. Depress "ALARM SET/OFF" (5) while pressing "FAST" (6) or "SLOW" (7) until reaching the desired alarm setting. (Note: advancing more than 24 hours will cause the display to flash and the alarm to sound — move the "FUNCTION SWITCH" (11) up then back to OFF to stop the flashing.)
3. Confirm the alarm time is correctly set for AM or PM (4).
4. Slide the "DUAL SETTING SWITCH" (1) to AL2 and repeat the same steps for the second alarm.
5. Once both alarms are set, slide the switch to the middle "AL1+AL2" position to enable both.
6. Two lit dots on the right side of the LED display (AL1 (13) and AL2 (14)) confirm which alarms are enabled.

Enabling the Alarm Function

Slide the "FUNCTION SWITCH" (11) up to your desired wake mode: VIB for bed shaker only, BUZZ for sound only, or VIB/BUZZ for both. Whichever mode you choose applies to both alarms.

Snooze Operation

Press "SNOOZE" (8) after the alarm sounds — it resets for 9 additional minutes. You may repeat snooze up to a total of 54 minutes. Using snooze on AL1 does not affect AL2.

Shutting Off the Alarm

• When AL1 sounds, press "ALARM SET/OFF" (5) to silence it for the day.
• Once both alarms have sounded and "ALARM SET/OFF" has been pressed, both shut off for the day and return the next day at the same time (unless settings are changed).
• To permanently disable, slide the "FUNCTION SWITCH" (11) down to OFF. The alarm won't sound again until the switch is set back to VIB/BUZZ, VIB, or BUZZ.

Volume and Tone

• Volume: Rotate the wheel on the lower right of the clock (12).
• Tone: Rotate the wheel on the top right of the clock (10) to your desired tone sound.

Bed Shaker / Vibrator

1. Attach the bed shaker jack to the "VIBRATOR INPUT" (15) on the back of the clock.
2. Slide "FUNCTION SWITCH" (11) to "VIB" or "VIB/BUZZ" to activate the vibrator.
3. Place the vibrator between the mattress and box spring.

Battery Backup

Install a 9-volt alkaline battery (not included) under the "BACKUP BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER" (17). During a power failure the LED display won't show, but the clock keeps running and tracking the correct time until power is restored.

AC Power Input

Attach the "AC POWER INPUT" (16) — the smaller of the two jacks — to the back of the clock next to the "VIBRATOR INPUT" (15). Important: Do not confuse the AC power input with the vibrator input.
