How It Works

ShowerStart TSV attaches to the shower head of your choice. When you turn on the shower, cold water flows normally through the valve. Once the water reaches a warm temperature, the ShowerStart TSV automatically slows the flow to a trickle — signaling that your shower is ready. The shower then simply waits for you until you resume the flow.

Technical Notes

The ShowerStart TSV is not an anti-scald device. Important usage notes:

• Lower your water heater to a maximum of 120°F (49°C).
• Always resume water flow and check water temperature before entering the shower.
• Tankless water heater systems require a minimum flow rate to produce hot water — when used with some tankless systems, a brief but noticeable temperature change may occur shortly after resuming the shower's normal flow.

Specified Models

Both models carry a 3-year warranty and meet or exceed Uniform Plumbing Codes (UPC): IAPMO IGC 244-2015a.
