User manual for the Skylink® WS-100 Wireless Remote Control plug-in outlet and keychain transmitter kit.
User manual for the Skylink® WS-100 Wireless Remote Control kit — a plug-in receiver and keychain transmitter combo that lets you switch any electrical appliance on or off remotely, indoors or outdoors, without rewiring.
Plug the receiver fully into a grounded electrical outlet. If you don't have a grounded outlet, contact an electrician to upgrade your electrical system.
Plug the receiver fully into an outdoor outlet. Let the receiver hang downward so moisture doesn't accumulate in the outlet — install the cord and unit above ground level with the receptacle facing down. A weather-protective cover is required to keep rain or moisture out.
Note: not for water immersion or direct exposure to water. Store indoors when not in use. National/Canadian Electrical Code (and most local codes) require outdoor outlets be protected by a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI).
Plug the appliance you wish to control into the outlet on the bottom of the receiver. Do not exceed the maximum load specifications listed below — check with an electrician if you're unsure of an appliance's rating.
Press the transmitter button — the light on the transmitter turns on, and the connected device should turn on immediately. Press the button again to turn the device off.
Uses a 12-volt alkaline battery (Type 23A). Open the battery compartment cover and swap the old battery for a new one. Do not dispose of batteries in fire — they may explode or leak.
Risk of electric shock — do not use with an extension cord or near water where water may accumulate. Keep plugs and receptacles dry. For use only on GFCI-protected circuits.
