User manual for the Skylink PM-318-2 Plug-In ON/OFF Control (Indoor) — a wireless module that plugs into a standard outlet and turns a connected light or appliance on/off, with an optional countdown timer mode for energy saving.

    What's Included

    • 1x Plug-In ON/OFF Control (Indoor), Model PM-318-2

    Operating Modes

    • On/Off Mode: When a valid signal is received, turns the connected load on or off.
    • Countdown Timer Mode: When a valid signal is received, the load turns on for a set duration (1, 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes), then automatically turns off — mainly for energy saving.

The PM-318-2 supports up to 16 different transmitters or command signals, and can operate a maximum load of 1500W at 120VAC.

    Programming a Transmitter

You must complete the programming sequence within 15 seconds, or the module exits programming mode and you'll need to restart from step 3.

    1. Plug in the PM-318-2. The red LED flashes once quickly.
    2. Plug a light or appliance into the module's socket — the connected load should be off.
    3. Press and hold the "LEARN" button for about 3 seconds — the red LED flashes, indicating On/Off Mode programming. Release the button here for On/Off Mode.
    4. For Countdown Timer Mode instead, keep holding "LEARN" for about 10 seconds until the red LED is on steadily, then release.
    5. Transmit a "Learn" code from the transmitter (refer to the transmitter's own manual for how to send this).
    6. Once programmed, the red LED flashes quickly, then stops — programming is complete.

    ON/OFF Operation

When the programmed transmitter is activated, the PM-318-2 turns the load on or off. Depending on the transmitter type, functions can include individual on/off, zone on/off, all on, all off, and motion activation. Refer to your transmitter's instructions for details.

    Setting the Countdown Timer Duration

Applies to transmitters programmed for Countdown Timer Mode. Only one timer interval can be set at a time.

    1. Plug in the module — the red LED flashes once, confirming power.
    2. Turn on the connected load using the programmed transmitter (the load must be ON to set the timer).
    3. Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds — the red LED flashes once, and the number of flashes indicates the current timer duration.
    4. Keep holding SET to cycle through durations — the setting advances every 6 seconds.
    5. Release once the desired number of flashes is reached.
    Number of Flashes Timer Duration
    1 1 min.
    2 5 min.
    3 15 min.
    4 30 min.
    5 60 min.

Once the number of flashes reaches 5, it stays there — release and repeat from step 1 to go back to a lower setting.

    Countdown Timer Operation

When a programmed transmitter or sensor activates the module in timer mode, the connected load turns on for the preset duration (the LED lights up too). After the interval, the load turns off automatically. Pressing a button programmed for On/Off Mode overrides the timer. To stop the countdown early, press a button programmed for On/Off Mode.

    Erasing Transmitters

You cannot erase a single device directly — you must erase all wireless devices, then reprogram the ones you want to keep.

    1. Power off the PM-318-2 by unplugging it.
    2. Press and hold the SET button while plugging the module back in.
    3. The red LED comes on, then flashes rapidly for 1 second, then alternates on/off.
    4. Release the SET button — all devices are now erased from the receiver.
