    What's Included

    • 1x Security Keypad
    • 2x Mounting screws

Note: The AAA alkaline battery for the keypad is not included.

    Installing the Security Keypad

    1. Undo the screw on the bottom of the keypad and remove the back plate.
    2. Insert an AAA battery.
    3. Mount the back plate with the included screws.
    4. Attach the keypad to the back plate and tighten the screw on the bottom.

Programming with the M-Series Main Console

You can program up to 4 security keychain remotes or keypads to your M-Series Alarm System. Security Keypads must be programmed in Zone 1.

    1. Press the learn button on the back of the M-Series Main Console for 3 seconds until the Zone 1 light flashes.
    2. Input the PIN followed by the Disarm button (default PIN: 0000).
    3. Once programmed, the Zone 1 LED light will turn off.

Programming with the SkylinkNet Internet Hub

Must be done from the SkylinkNet App.

    1. Go to "More" and tap "System Settings."
    2. Tap "Setup Wizard."
    3. Tap "Add Device."
    4. Tap "Security Remote/Keypad."
    5. Name your Security Keypad and tap "Continue."
    6. Tap "Learn Now" and input the PIN followed by the Disarm Button (default PIN: 0000).

    Operation

The default password is 0,0,0,0. Input your PIN number followed by the button for the action you want:

    • Disarm: Input your PIN followed by the Disarm button to deactivate the alarm.
    • Arm Home: Input your PIN followed by the Arm Home button to protect while you're at home — this mode deactivates motion sensors but leaves other sensors active.
    • Arm Away: Input your PIN followed by the Arm Away button to protect your home while away — this activates the alarm after a 45-second exit delay and gives you a 30-second entry delay to disarm on return.
    • Panic Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the alarm.

The backlight turns on when any button is pressed.

    Changing the Keypad Password

The password can be 2-8 digits long, using buttons 0-6. Factory default is 0,0,0,0.

    1. Input the current PIN (default 0000) and press the button.
    2. Input the new PIN followed by the button.
    3. Input the new PIN again to confirm and press the button.

If the two new PIN entries don't match, the keypad emits a long error beep — restart from step 1. Two beeps confirm the password was changed successfully.

    Replacing the Battery

Powered by an AAA alkaline battery. Replace when operation range is reduced or the backlight LED doesn't flash during operation.

    1. Undo the screw on the back plate of the keypad.
    2. Pry out the back plate.
    3. Remove the old battery.
    4. Insert the new battery, observing polarity.
    5. Close the back plate and re-insert the screw.

Dispose of the old battery promptly and properly.

    Troubleshooting
