Specifications and ordering guide for the Simply Automated Anywhere 2-Rocker Switch (Model US2-V02), a virtual remote lighting control switch using powerline communication — no traveler wires, batteries, or RF emissions required.

Overview

The US2-V02 is the entry point into "Anywhere" virtual remote lighting control, letting you turn lights on/off anywhere in the home without new wiring. It includes one high-quality, professional-grade (120VAC/60Hz) on/off switch with a 2-rocker gloss white faceplate. It replaces an existing mechanical switch and reuses the existing switch wires (a white neutral wire connection is required) — no traveler wires or batteries needed. Uses Simply Automated's advanced powerline communication technology, transmitting over 1 mile on a 14-gauge wire circuit, with no RF emissions.

Operation

• Top of top-rocker: turns ON the local output circuit (status LED shines green); also turns on/off remote virtual switches and modules set to channel 2.
• Bottom of top-rocker: turns OFF the local output circuit (status LED shines blue).
• Bottom-rocker (top/bottom): turns on/off remote virtual switches and modules set to channel 1.
• Up to four separate virtual control zones (channels) can be used in one home.
• The 2-rocker faceplate (ZS22) can be swapped for a 3- or 4-rocker faceplate (ZS23/ZS24) if desired.

• Combine with the Anywhere 1-Rocker Switch (US1-V0), Plug-In Appliance Relay Module (UMA-V0), Wire-In Fixture Relay Module (UFR-V0), or Controlled Receptacle (URD-V0) for expanded virtual lighting/appliance control.
• Optional removable-rocker color change kits: gloss white, almond, light almond, ivory, black, or brown.
• Can respond to multiple channels for functions like "All On/Off."

Circuit Requirements

• Hot and neutral (black and white wire) power connections are required at switch locations.
• Controls 1W–900W incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, LED, magnetic and electronic low-voltage lighting transformers & ballasts. Metal-halide or Mercury/Sodium ballasts may need isolation (see model ZNF10A). Controls 120VAC/60Hz motors up to 7.5A max.
• Up to 4 separate virtual control zones per home, using the 4 available communication channels. Use the Scheduler-Timer (model UCS) to add a secondary receive channel for "All On/Off."
• Install switches/devices on the same circuit breaker for maximum communication distance; if on different circuits, keep them on the same electrical phase.
• For homes with multiple breaker panels or over 2,500 sq. ft. using both phase A and B, a phase coupler (model ZPCI) is recommended for optimum performance.
• Not intended for 3-phase (commercial/condo) applications unless switches share the same breaker or phase.

The Anywhere Series is not compatible with any of Simply Automated's PC-Configured, Pre-Configured, Simply Smart™, or other UPB/UPStart-configured products.
