Overview

The SecurityMan IPcam-SD is a Wi-Fi security camera for smartphone, tablet, and computer monitoring. It connects to a router over Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet and can be remotely accessed via the free CMS (Central Management Software) desktop application, a web browser, or the free smartphone app — with optional P2P remote access through xmeye.net for configuration-free setup.

Product Basics

Front view: Camera Lens, Light Sensor, Infrared LEDs.
Rear view: Network Port, Antenna Mount, Micro SD Slot, Microphone, Speaker, Alarm In/Out, Power Socket.
Bottom view: Base, Mounting Hole, Reset Button.

Reset: With the camera powered up, press and hold the reset button (bottom of unit) using a small non-pointed, non-metallic tool (e.g., a paperclip) for 5 seconds to restore factory default settings.

⚠ Restrictions & Safety

• Audio/video recording may be prohibited by law in certain circumstances — use only in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local statutes.
• Do not attempt to move the pan/tilt mechanism by hand — may damage the internal motors.
• Do not use near water (bathtub, sink, wet basement, pool) or on unstable carts/stands/tables.
• Do not disassemble the product — risk of dangerous voltage exposure.
• Keep at least 22cm (about 8.7") away from a heart pacemaker — radio waves can potentially interfere with pacemaker operation.
• Do not use this product to infringe on privacy (spying, unauthorized interception) — illegal and punishable by law.
• Keep plastic packaging away from children/babies (suffocation hazard).
• Do not plug in the AC adapter with wet hands or unsteadily; keep it uncovered and away from heaters.

Operating conditions: temperature -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F); relative humidity 20%–80%. Avoid rapid temperature/humidity changes, direct sunlight on the lens, heat sources, harmful chemicals, and strong magnetic fields.

Camera Setup

Configure the camera over a wired Ethernet connection before using it wirelessly.

1. Attach the antenna to the back of the camera.
2. Insert a Micro SD card (not included, up to 32GB) into the Micro SD slot.
3. Connect the provided Ethernet cable from the camera's "Network" port to your router/switch.
4. Power up the camera using its power adapter (5VDC, 2.0A). The camera runs a 30-second self test on power-up, including the head rotating through a range of motions.
5. Proceed to CMS software installation to complete setup.

Phone Setup

By User (register on xmeye.net): register at www.xmeye.net with a username, email, and password; log in, go to Device Manage → Add, and enter the camera's Serial No. (found via the QR code on the device — see the Quick Start Guide) and a device name (username: admin, password left blank). Once registered, log in "By User" on your phone and the device displays automatically.

By Device (recommended, no registration needed):

• QR Code: refer to the Quick Start Guide.
• Search in LAN: ensure your phone is on the same router as the camera, tap Add → Search in LAN, select the device (+) and Save.
• Address: obtain your router's IP address (e.g., via whatsmyip.org), select "Address" login mode, enter the router IP, port 34568, user ID admin, and leave the password blank; tap Save.

App live-view controls: channel selection (up to 8), play/stop, record, delete channel, alarm, snapshot, microphone icons; app settings; swipe for more options; double-tap for full screen; pan/tilt via arrow keys; zoom in/out.

Device Settings (in app): Ethernet configuration, Wi-Fi setup, time/date format, system settings (firmware info, reset), video quality/resolution/FPS/bitrate, SD card info (format, overwrite), and alarm settings (motion, alarm I/O, snapshots, recording, email).

The app also provides Local Playback (recordings/snapshots saved to your phone), Remote Playback (recordings on the camera's SD card, filterable by date/time/type), and Local Snapshot viewing/saving/deleting.

CMS (Central Management Software) Installation

System requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8 (32-bit or 64-bit), Intel Pentium 4 2.0GHz+ processor, NVIDIA GeForce 6800-equivalent video card, 2GB RAM, 1GB free hard drive space, broadband internet connection.

1. Insert the installation CD and open the folder to view files.
2. Double-click the CMS installer executable (e.g., CMS_V3.0.9.14.T.20130410.exe) to start setup.
3. Follow the CMS Setup wizard — choose the install directory (default C:\Program Files\CMS) and shortcut folder.
4. Click "Next" then "Finish" to complete installation. A "CMS" shortcut icon is created on the desktop.

Initial IP address setup: double-click the CMS shortcut, select language (English), and use the software's Edit Device / IP Search functions to locate the camera on your network, then modify its default IP address, subnet mask, and gateway as needed to match your network.

CMS Graphic User Interface

The CMS interface provides a menu area covering:

• PTZ Control — pan/tilt/zoom camera control, and Color adjustment
• System — PC Config (base config, log maintenance, snapshot, local record, device, sync time, startup), Alarm Setting (I/O trigger, video motion, video blind, device disconnect), Record Setting (schedule templates), and Version Info
• IPCAM/CMS Account — user groups, individual users, and permission/rights management
• Local Log — operation/alarm logs searchable by date/time, exportable
• Add/Remove IPCam — area/device list management, IP search, device credentials (name, login type, IP, port, user/password, zone, domain, cloud), import/export config, connection test
• IPCam Config — per-device settings for recording/playback, video encoding (compression, resolution, FPS, bit rate), snapshot, alarm (video motion, video blind, alarm I/O, abnormal events), system (time/date/language/video standard/DST), network (DHCP, IP, ports, MAC, bandwidth), net services (IP filter, DDNS, email, NTP, UPnP, FTP, RTSP, cloud), GUI display, SD card management, account management, maintenance (reboot, delete files), defaults, and firmware upgrade

Remote Access

By default the IPcam-SD is plug-and-play — port forwarding is not required, but "UPnP" must be enabled both in CMS NetService and in your router. In some cases (if plug-and-play doesn't work), you may need to open/forward ports 34567 (Media), 34568 (Smartphone), and 34569 (RTSP streaming) to the camera's local IP address in your router's port forwarding settings.

Static vs. dynamic IP: for a static WAN IP (recommended), use that address directly for remote access. For dynamic IP, use third-party dynamic-IP monitoring software (e.g., IPWatcher, Dynamic IP Monitor) or register a free/paid DDNS account (dyndns.com, no-ip.com, dnsdynamic.org, changeIP.com, etc.).

Internet Explorer Remote Access

1. In CMS, go to System → Remote Config → Network to view the network address, gateway, Media Port, and HTTP Port.
2. In NetServices, enable "Mobile Monitor" (default port 34568).
3. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools → Internet Options → Custom Level, and enable all ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
4. Browse to the camera's LAN IP (e.g., http://192.168.248.189) for local access, or your WAN IP (e.g., http://67.88.133.244) for internet access. Log in with default username admin and default password (blank).
5. Choose a bit rate/stream option (Main Stream or Extra Stream) and click OK — the live camera image appears.

Note: Firefox, Chrome, and Safari can also be used for remote access but require a QuickTime plug-in.

P2P Remote Access (via xmeye.net)

1. Go to http://www.xmeye.net and register an account, or connect "By Device" using the camera's MAC address and a 4-digit on-screen verification code.
2. After logging in, go to Device Manager → Add, enter the MAC address, a device name, username (default admin), and password (default blank).
3. Go to "My Devices," double-click the device name, and log in to view the live interface.

Specifications

Warranty

SecurityMan Inc. warrants this product free from defects in title, materials, and manufacturing workmanship for one year (or as otherwise specified on the product packaging) from the date of purchase. The warranty is not transferable and is limited to the original purchaser; it does not cover abuse, misuse, abnormal electrical/environmental conditions, or normal wear and tear.
