    Installation

    1. Find a suitable mounting height for most users.
    2. Mount in a single-gang back box, or flush-mount directly to the wall (cut a 2-5/8" x 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" / 66x44x32mm hole).
    3. Run wiring through the wall/conduit and through the back of the keypad.
    4. Set the backlit jumper (FULL or AUTO) per the wiring diagram.
    5. Connect wires per the wiring diagram; attach the keypad with security screws or flush-mount into the cut hole.

    Important Safety Note

    If using the keypad with a mechanically operated door or gate, mount the keypad at least 15 ft (5m) from the door or gate to prevent users from being crushed or pinned. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.

    • Always disconnect power before servicing; do not apply power until wiring is complete.
    • Keypad must be properly grounded with min. 22AWG wire.
    • Wiring and programming should be done by a professional installer.

    Quick Programming Guide

    For a basic install: new master code, single 4-digit user code for all users, one output to unlock a door, 3-second delay.

    1. Stop the power-up beeping: 12 #
    2. Enter programming mode (default master code 0000): 0000 **
    3. Change the master code: 01 xxxx #
    4. Set user code for output #1 (user ID 000): 10 2 000 xxxx #
    5. Set output #1 delay to 3 seconds (default is 5s): 51 3 #
    6. Exit programming mode: **

    Note: DAP code 2828 and system restore code 9999 are fixed and cannot be changed.

    Duress Codes

    If a user enters a duress code instead of their normal code, the appropriate output activates as usual AND the duress output triggers a silent alarm simultaneously. A duress code cannot deactivate the duress output — only a normal user code, super user code, or master code can do that. Duress codes are always valid and bypass any lock-up state.

    Direct Access to Programming (DAP) — Master Code Recovery

    1. Disconnect keypad power; wait one minute.
    2. Reconnect power — keypad beeps repeatedly for one minute.
    3. While beeping, press the egress button once to stop it (or jumper the egress input to ground if no button installed).
    4. Enter the DAP code: 2828 **
    5. Amber LED turns ON — keypad is ready for a new master code to be programmed.

    DAP does not reset any other programming — only enables setting a new master code. For a full reset, use System Restore.

    Warranty

    3-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal service. SECO-LARM's obligation is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts.
