Product information for the SECO-LARM SD-72081-6MQ Single-Gang Mortise Cylinder Key Switch — a keyed backup override for access control systems, letting a user manually switch between N.C. and N.O. contacts to force a door open if a keypad or proximity card reader fails.

    Overview

If a keypad or proximity card reader fails to activate an electronic lock, the SD-72081-6MQ lets the user switch between normally closed (N.C.) and normally open (N.O.) contacts, forcing the door to open. It acts as a manual backup for access control systems so the system isn't solely dependent on the integrity of a single electronic device.

    Key Features

    • Keyed mortise cylinder (2 keys included)
    • Mortise cylinder is removable for ease of re-keying
    • Flush mount with vandal-resistant screws
    • Chrome-plated aluminum back plate fits a standard single-gang box
    • Stainless-steel front cover conceals mounting screws
    • DPDT momentary switch, 5A@125VAC contact rating, color-coded wires

    Specifications

    Model SD-72081-6MQ
    Switch type DPDT switch (momentary)
    Contact rating 5A@125VAC, NO/NC
    Dimensions 2¾"x4½"x1⁷⁄₁₆" (69x114x37mm)

    Wiring

Color-coded wires connect directly to the PCB terminals:

    • Set 1: Blue = N.C., Green = COM, Yellow = N.O.
    • Set 2: Black = N.C., White = COM, Red = N.O.

    Sample Application

The SD-72081-6MQ can be wired alongside an electromagnetic lock (e.g., E-941SA-600) and a strobe light (e.g., SL-1301-BAQ) to provide a manual keyed override that forces a door open independent of the primary access-control device.
