    Full text manual (for reference)

    Manual for SECO-LARM's ENFORCER ST-series power supplies/chargers (ST-1206-1.5AQ, ST-2406-2AQ, ST-2406-3AQ, ST-2406-5AQ, ST-2406-7AQ, ST-2406-10AQ) — regulated power supplies with automatic backup-battery switchover for alarm and access control systems.

    Overview

The ST-series power supplies/chargers keep alarm and access control systems powered, protected by fused outputs, input polarity protection diodes, and backup battery reverse-polarity protection. Each model provides automatic recharging of backup batteries, automatic switchover to backup power if main power is lost, programmable DC voltage output, and regulated/filtered output.

    Features

    • Automatic recharging of backup batteries
    • Automatic switchover to backup battery if main power is lost or cut
    • Built-in battery short-circuit protection
    • LEDs indicate power status
    • High efficiency at full load; heat-sink-free design (except ST-2406-7AQ / ST-2406-10AQ)
    • Programmable DC voltage output
    • Regulated and filtered output voltage
    • Fused output for a regulated charge
    • Includes foam tape and battery leads for easy installation
    • Low-battery cutoff (ST-2406-2AQ, ST-2406-3AQ, and ST-2406-5AQ only)

    Parts List

    • 1x Power Supply/Charger
    • 2x Acrylic foam tape for PCB mount (4x on ST-2406-7AQ / ST-2406-10AQ)
    • 2x Wires for backup battery charger
    • 1x Manual

    Installation

    1. Mount the PC board in the desired location or enclosure, keeping it accessible for future servicing.
    2. Set the desired DC output voltage (6, 12, or 24VDC*) using the DIP switch. Disconnect power before changing DIP switches. Default output setting is 12VDC. (*ST-1206-1.5AQ is 6/12VDC only.)
    3. Connect a transformer with appropriate voltage/VA rating for your model and desired output (see the manual's transformer compatibility table, e.g. 12VAC/20VA for 6VDC output on smaller models, up to 24–28VAC/350VA for 24VDC output on the largest model).
    4. Connect wires to their respective terminals per the wiring diagram: AC input, DC output (–/+), and battery (BAT –/+).

    DIP Switch Voltage Selection

    Voltage SW1 SW2
    6V ON ON
    12V ON OFF
    24V* OFF OFF

Note: DIP switch mapping shown is for ST-1206-1.5AQ, ST-2406-2AQ, ST-2406-3AQ, ST-2406-5AQ. ST-2406-7AQ / ST-2406-10AQ use a different mapping — see the full manual for the second table.

    LED Status Indicators

    Green LED Red/Blue LED Status
    ON ON Normal
    OFF ON No VAC input
    ON OFF No VDC output
OFF OFF No VAC input and no VDC output

    Warnings

    • Using a higher AC input than recommended may damage the unit.
    • Avoid touching the heat sink — it may be very hot under full load.
    • Do not use metal spacers to mount the power supply's PC board.
    • Connect only to a rechargeable backup battery — a non-rechargeable battery can damage the unit or the alarm/access control panel.
    • Before connecting external devices, temporarily power up the unit and measure DC output voltage first; disconnect power before making final connections.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Check
No DC output AC input/backup battery voltage normal? Output voltage setting correct? AC input wattage correct?
Low DC voltage output If battery is supplying power, is the battery voltage normal? Is the power supply board overloaded?
No backup battery power Is battery voltage normal or already discharged? Has the master fuse burned out?
