    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation Manual and Administrator Guide for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER Bluetooth® Access Controllers (SK-B141-DQ, SK-B141-PQ, PR-B1124-SPQ, SK-B241-PQ) — keypad and proximity card access controllers managed entirely via the SL Access™ smartphone app, with no cloud or internet exposure.

    Key Features

    • No codes to remember: intuitive, visual, app-based programming for up to 1,000 users.
    • No cloud, no internet exposure: all data secured on the device, managed by the administrator.
    • More than access: can also control gates, lighting, machinery, etc.
    • Multiple user types: permanent, scheduled, temporary, or limited to a number of uses.
    • Output modes: Timed Relock (1-1,800s), Remain Unlocked, Remain Locked, Toggle — customizable per user.
    • Multiple ways to open a door: keypad, proximity card/fob*, or app. *Depending on device.
    • Hold Open (Passage) mode: hold a door open with code, card, or app.
    • Secure Bluetooth: passcode-protected, AES128 encryption.
    • Unlimited devices manageable from one app; easy backup/restore and device replication.
    • Downloadable audit trail: last 1,000 events, searchable by user and event type.
    • Multilingual app interface: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese (Traditional/Simplified).

    Getting Started

You'll need: a drill with a 5/16" (8mm) bit plus a larger bit/hole saw for the wiring hole, a bit driver for the security screw, a Phillips screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, a smartphone with Bluetooth (iOS 11.0+ or Android 5.0+), and the free SL Access™ app from the App Store or Google Play.

    Installation — Typical Wiring Diagram

Installation and wiring are the same across all models (pictured example: Single-Gang Keypad):

    Wire Function
    Red Power (+)
    Black Power (–)
    White COM
    Blue N.O. fail-secure
    Yellow N.C. fail-safe
Green pair RTE (Request to Exit) button
    Brown pair Door sensor
    Orange pair External alarm

Important: Because the keypad/reader uses a solid-state relay, you must use the enclosed diode for DC-powered locks and the varistor (MOV) for AC-powered locks and electromagnetic locks — unless your lock has a diode/MOV built in. Failure to do so will void the warranty. Use the blue wire for fail-secure applications and yellow for fail-safe; insulate any unused wire end with electrical tape.

    LED Indicators and Sounds

Green LED Blue LED Red LED
Steady Output activated / door unlocked / toggle unlocked Powered on, standby Invalid access attempt / door always locked
Flashing ADMIN settings opened (overrides other indicators)

Keypad sounds: 1 beep for successful key/code/card entry (LED on for relock duration); 3 beeps + 1 flash for unsuccessful entry; 3 beeps + 1-second red/blue flashing for wrong-code lockout.

    Important Safety Notes

    • If using the keypad with a mechanically operated door or gate, mount the keypad at least 15' (5m) from the door/gate to prevent users from being crushed or pinned. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.
    • Always disconnect power before servicing the keypad.
    • The keypad must be properly grounded with minimum 22AWG wire to common ground output.
    • Allow at least 2ft (60cm) between this and any other keypads to avoid interference.
    • All wiring and programming should be done by a professional installer.

    Logging In (Administrator)

Open the SL Access app, click "Login," enter ID ADMIN (case sensitive) and factory default passcode 12345, then click Confirm. Change the default passcode immediately from the Settings page for security. Only one phone can be "remembered" as logged in at a time — logging in from another phone forgets the first.

    ADMIN Setup Screen Overview

Key settings and where to configure them:

    • Manage Users — add/manage users, export/import user lists.
    • Audit Trail — download or delete the event log.
    • Back Up / Restore Settings — archive settings or replicate to another device.
    • Device Name — rename the device (up to 16 characters).
    • ADMIN Passcode — factory default 12345; change immediately (4-8 digits).
    • ADMIN Card/Fob — assign a proximity card/fob for admin login (devices with a reader only).
    • Door Sensor — enable/disable (requires magnetic contact or lock with built-in sensor); sounds an alarm if the door is forced or held open past the relock time.
    • Output Mode (Global) and Output Time — set default behavior for all users.
    • Number of Wrong Codes (3-10) and Wrong-Code Lockout Time (1-5 minutes) before temporary lockout. During lockout, only the ADMIN app can interrupt it — not the keypad or card.
    • Tamper Alarm (default enabled) with adjustable Tamper Alarm Time (1-255 min, default 255) and Tamper Sensitivity — uses a 3-axis accelerometer to detect vibration.
    • Auto Proximity Range — sets the relative range for the app's Auto Unlock feature (separate from proximity cards/fobs).
    • Key Sounds — enable/disable audible key press feedback (keypads only).
    • Device Time — syncs automatically from the ADMIN's phone each time Settings is opened (no manual date/time setting; no automatic Daylight Savings adjustment).

    Global Output Modes

    1. Timed Relock — door unlocks, then relocks after a set time (default mode, default 5 seconds, adjustable 1-1,800 seconds).
    2. Remain Unlocked — for free access periods.
    3. Remain Locked — blocks all user access.
    4. Toggle — flips the current lock state; overrides other output modes.

Remain Unlocked and Remain Locked are only available to the ADMIN. The ADMIN can assign a different Output Mode to individual users, overriding the global default.

Understanding Toggle: If unlocked via Toggle, another user also set to Toggle will relock it. A user set to Timed Relock will not affect an already-unlocked Toggle state, but their entry is still logged — useful for a manager toggling a business open/closed while employees still badge in for record-keeping.

Door Hold Open (Passage) & Business Hours

The ADMIN can set the global Output Mode to Remain Unlocked to hold a door open indefinitely (green LED indicates unlocked; only the ADMIN can relock it). Alternatively, individual users can be given a Toggle Output Mode to hold-open/relock on demand — useful for setting up a shared "Business Hours" or "Hold Open" user ID that opens at start of day and relocks at close, while other employees still use their normal Timed Relock access and get logged in the Audit Trail.

    Tamper Alarm

Uses a 3-axis accelerometer to detect vibration indicative of tampering. Sounds an internal buzzer (and external alarm output if connected) until the time expires or the ADMIN disables it via the app. Default sensitivity is High (smaller vibrations trigger it) — adjust to Low if experiencing false alarms depending on the mounting surface.

    Auto Proximity Unlock

Unlocks the door automatically when your phone comes within a set Bluetooth range. Notes:

    • The app must be open and the screen on for this to work.
    • Enabled/disabled per individual user (or ADMIN), not globally.
    • Depends heavily on Bluetooth signal strength, which varies by phone and environment — you must calibrate the Auto Proximity Range for your specific phone/location.
    • The Settings screen cannot be opened while Auto is enabled — disable Auto first.

    Managing Users

    • User IDs: up to 16 characters, case-sensitive, unique; supports accented/foreign characters.
    • Passcodes: 4-8 digits, unique, used for both app login and keypad entry.
    • Each device supports up to 1,000 users plus the ADMIN.
    • Proximity cards/fobs can be assigned by typing the code or swiping the card/fob on the device (devices with a reader only).
    • Per-user settings: delete user, edit User ID/Passcode, add/edit proximity card, enable/disable access mode (app/card/keypad), Access Type, and custom Output Mode.

    Access Types

    • Permanent (default) — no restrictions.
    • Scheduled — repeating access on chosen days of the week with a start/end time.
    • Temporary — a specific start and end date/time (useful for visitors, spanning hours to days).
    • Number of Times — limited to 1-255 total entries (useful for visitors).

    User Output Mode

Defaults to the Global Output Mode, but the ADMIN can override per user with Toggle or Timed Relock (with a custom relock time of 1-1,800 seconds).

    Import / Export

User lists can be exported/imported as CSV files (named "DeviceName_Users_YYYYMMDD_HHMM.csv") for backup or replication to another device. Importing does not overwrite existing users unless the User ID matches exactly; conflicting passcodes/proximity codes generate an error and are not merged. Large lists can be edited carefully in a spreadsheet (UTF-8 CSV format) and reimported — see the full manual for the detailed step-by-step spreadsheet procedure.

    The Audit Trail

Records all events: entries, egress button presses, rejected access, door forced/propped-open alarms, tamper alarms, toggle actions, and Remain Unlocked/Locked activations. Stores the last 1,000 events (oldest overwritten once the limit is reached) — download regularly to keep a permanent record. Exported as a CSV file named "DeviceName_Audit_YYYYMMDD_HHMM.csv," searchable/filterable by user or event type, and can be deleted from the device after export.

    Backup, Restore, and Replication

Device settings (not user data) can be backed up to a "DeviceName_Backup.bp" file for restoration or replication to another device (Android only). Restoring pulls from the backup file matching the device's current name; to replicate settings to a different device, rename the backup file to match the target device's name before restoring.

    Resetting the Device

    Reset Only the ADMIN Passcode

    1. Power off the device, remove the security screw, detach the unit from its base.
    2. Locate the jumper pins on the back (normally on pins 1-2). Move the jumper to reset pins 2-3.
    3. Power up and wait 5 seconds — after a short beep, the ADMIN password resets to 12345.
    4. Remove power, restore the jumper to pins 1-2, reinstall, and power on.

    Full Factory Reset

Follow the same steps above, but continue waiting another 5 seconds after the first short beep — you'll hear 1 long beep (full reset starting), then wait for 1 short beep (reset complete). This clears the user list, audit trail, and all settings. Restore the jumper and power on as above.

    Troubleshooting

    Issue Solution
LED flashing red/blue, users can't access Wrong-code lockout is active — wait for the timer, or ADMIN can interrupt via the app.
Lost ADMIN password Use the "Resetting Only the ADMIN Passcode" procedure above.
Device doesn't show on home screen Move closer to the device; exit and reopen the app.
Lost the ADMIN phone Log in from another phone with the ADMIN password, then change the password immediately; remotely erase the lost phone.
"Log In" always shows even after logging in Normal — Bluetooth LE doesn't maintain a permanent connection; no need to re-login while using the same device.
"Door forced open" shown but no forced entry occurred Same message covers a door propped open longer than the relock time — the device can't distinguish the two cases.
User can't unlock the door Verify correct User ID/passcode, that they're within their scheduled time or entry limit, and that AM/PM time settings are correct.
