    Installation and operation manual for the Chamberlain AGDMEV Garage Door Monitor — a MyQ-compatible indoor status monitor that shows whether your garage door is open or closed and lets you close it remotely from inside the home.

    Safety Warnings

    • Never permit children to operate or play with door control push buttons or remote control transmitters.
    • Only activate the door when it's properly adjusted and there are no obstructions to its travel.
    • This monitor works with an operator system equipped with an unattended operation feature — the door could move unexpectedly. No one should cross the path of a moving door.

    To comply with FCC and Industry Canada rules, adjustment or modification of this transceiver is prohibited — there are no user-serviceable parts. This device complies with FCC Part 15 and IC RSS-210.

    Overview

    The garage door monitor indicates the status of your garage door from inside the home and can be programmed with up to four MyQ-enabled garage door openers. (Note: this monitor is compatible with MyQ-enabled openers only.)

    Features

    Volume Control Button

    Sets the audible alert volume to low, medium, high, or off.

    Close Door Button

    Closes all open doors at once. Both LEDs blink simultaneously while the doors close, and a long beep confirms once they've closed.

    Solid Off No signal received from a programmed opener in the last 20 minutes (implies a power outage or opener malfunction)

    Blinking alternately, slow Blinking alternately, slow Not programmed to any garage door opener

    Audible Alert Reference

    The Volume Control button sets alert volume to low, medium, high, or off (marked tones below are silent when volume is set to OFF).

    Tone Meaning
    One short beep* Programming initiated / Erase memory initiated / Memory erased / Close Door button pressed
    Two short beeps Monitor successfully programmed
    Two long beeps Failed attempt to program a fifth garage door opener (max is 4)
    Three short beeps* A garage door is opening
    One short beep, repeating* A garage door is open
    One long beep, repeating* No communication with the garage door opener
    One long beep* Door closed successfully after pressing Close Door button

    Setup

    Connect the adapter to the garage door monitor and a standard 110 Vac outlet.

    Tip: Depending on where you plan to mount the monitor, it may be easier to temporarily place it near the garage door opener during programming, then move it to its final location once programming is complete.

    Programming

    1. Press and release the Learn button on the back of the garage door monitor.
    2. Within 60 seconds, press and release the Learn button on the garage door opener. Two short beeps confirm successful programming.

    To program additional openers, repeat these steps for each one. The monitor supports up to four garage door openers.

    Erase Memory

    To erase all programmed garage door openers, press and hold the Learn button on the monitor for at least six seconds. One short beep sounds at the start, and one short beep confirms all codes have been erased.
