  • SECO-LARM ENFORCER Room Occupancy Monitor Kit (RM-R100-KB1Q) — Manual

    August 31, 2026 4 min read

Manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER Room Occupancy Monitor Kit (RM-R100-KB1Q) — wireless occupancy monitoring for restrooms, fitting rooms, and more.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER Room Occupancy Monitor Kit (RM-R100-KB1Q) — a wireless room monitoring system using PIR motion, phototransistor, or door-sensor input to indicate occupancy in restrooms, fitting rooms, and other high-traffic areas.

    Overview

The ENFORCER Room Monitor monitors occupancy status in high-traffic areas such as restrooms and fitting rooms. It uses PIR and phototransistor sensors to detect occupancy, and can be programmed to use a door sensor (switch) input instead. The 1-Room Indicator adds a built-in buzzer and service-button input for applications where occupants may need assistance; the 2-Room Indicator monitors multiple rooms at once.

    Features

    • Programmable to use PIR (movement), phototransistor (light), or door sensor input (switch) to detect occupancy
    • 1-Room indicator has a programmable, built-in buzzer for service input
    • Programmable reminder, 3–30 min
    • Simple to install — micro USB or terminal block (5–12VDC)
    • Indicators can be paired with up to 15 Sensors per channel; each Sensor can transmit to an unlimited number of Indicators
    • Service button connections available (RM-R100-TLQ and RM-R100-RB1Q only)

    What's Included (RM-R100-KB1Q Kit)

    • 1x Sensor
    • 1x 1-Room Indicator
    • 2x USB power cords
    • 1x Indicator decal
    • 1x Manual

    Installation Notes

    • Mount the Sensor and Indicator away from weather/moisture and away from metal, which blocks the RF signal and reduces range.
    • For best results, keep no more than one wall between the Sensor and Indicator.
    • If using USB power, replace the cover before connecting to the micro USB port.
    • The door contact input should only be used where the monitored door is usually kept open.
    • If using an N.C. magnetic contact for door monitoring, a 100kΩ resistor (not included) must be installed between the voltage and door contact inputs.

Basic DIY Installation (Micro USB Power)

The Room Monitor Kit ships pre-learned and ready to go out of the box.

    1. Find a suitable mounting location near a power source (the included micro USB cord is 12" / 30cm long).
    2. Use a paper clip to program the reminder time and expand the system as needed (see below).
    3. Apply double-sided mounting tape to the back of the Sensor/Indicator and mount.
    4. Connect the micro USB plug to the Sensor/Indicator and connect to power.

    Setting a Reminder Time

Sensors and Indicators can be programmed to flash if a room has been occupied for an extended period.

    1. Connect to power and press the pairing button within 5 seconds of powering on.
    2. Count the number of times the LEDs flash after pressing.
    3. Press the pairing button repeatedly until the desired reminder time is set.
    Flashes 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
    Reminder Time Disabled 3min 5min 10min 15min 20min 30min

Note: the service pairing button cannot be used to set a reminder time.

    Clear / Display Channel Memory

Clear: press the channel's pairing button for 3+ seconds until the LED flashes, release, then press again for 3+ seconds until the LED stops flashing — it will flash twice to confirm all codes were deleted.

Display: press the channel's pairing button once — the number of stored codes corresponds to the number of LED flashes.

    Expanding the Room Monitor System

Each Indicator channel can learn up to 15 different Sensors or Indicator Remote buttons on a first-in, first-out basis.

    1. With the Indicator powered on for over 5 seconds, press the desired channel's pairing button for 3+ seconds — the LED flashes quickly to indicate learning mode.
    2. While flashing, press the button on the Sensor/Remote to be learned once. The LED flashes once to confirm pairing, and the Indicator automatically exits learning mode.

The channel LED flashes for a maximum of 30 seconds; if no device is paired in that time, learning mode exits automatically. A device already paired won't be paired twice (LED turns steady on, then flashes). Learning a 16th code on a channel deletes the earliest-learned code.

    Wiring Using Screw Terminals

    1. Mark the wire pass-through hole location and drill if needed.
    2. Remove the bottom case and PCB, feed wires through the pass-through holes, and wire per the terminal labels (V+ 5–12VDC, GND, Service input N.O., Door N.O. input on the Sensor).
    3. Replace the top cover and mount.

Magnetic contact door monitoring: for an N.O. magnetic contact, wire directly to SIP-/V+/SOP-/GND/DNO+. For an N.C. magnetic contact, install a 100kΩ resistor between the voltage and door contact (DNO+) inputs.

    Troubleshooting

    Issue Fix
Doesn't work Check Micro USB and USB adapter connection or wiring.
Sensor detects occupancy when the room is empty If there's a window, limit outdoor light or set the phototransistor OFF via the jumper.
1-Room Indicator's buzzer keeps sounding Clear the memory of the service button channel in case a Sensor was accidentally paired.
