    Installation and programming manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER PR-112S-A Stand-Alone Proximity Reader — a self-contained access control reader for residential, commercial, and industrial doors, with no external control panel required.

    Overview

    The PR-112S-A is a weatherproof (IP67), stand-alone proximity card reader with a wave-shaped tri-color LED status bar. It stores up to 100 user cards and 5 master cards and drives a single relay output (timed 1–180 seconds, or toggle/latched mode) to control a door strike, magnetic lock, or gate operator. An egress input lets people exit without tapping a card.

    Relay rated 1A @ 30V. Egress input accepts a normally-open switch to release the door without a card.

    LED Color Meanings

    • Blue — Powered on and in standby mode (valid card indicator)
    • Green — Programming mode
    • Red — Invalid card / error

    Card Types

    • Master Card (MC) — used for programming only; does not grant door access
    • User Card (UC) — valid card, grants access
    • Blank Card (BC) — not yet programmed; considered invalid

    Installation Steps

    1. Unpack the unit and familiarize yourself with the reader and included parts.
    2. Test the mounting location for fit.
    3. Using a T-10 Torx driver, remove the bottom screw and separate the case from the base.
    4. Place the base at the mounting location; mark the two mounting holes and wire harness hole.
    5. Drill a ¾" hole for the wire harness.
    6. Permanently screw the base to the mounting location.
    7. Run wires from the power supply, egress button, and door unlock device through the hole to the wire harness.
    8. Connect the wires to the harness — solder or crimp and insulate carefully.
    9. Reattach the outside case to the base.
    10. Program the reader (see below).

    First-Time Power Up

    1. After connecting power the unit beeps once and the LED shows Blue — ready to be programmed with the included Master Card (MC sticker).
    2. If the LED is flashing Green instead, tap the included Master Card to the reader to program it.
    3. Two short beeps sound and the LED turns Blue — the reader is now ready to be programmed using that Master Card.

    Programming

    All programming is done by tapping a Master Card a set number of times to enter a specific function, then tapping user/blank cards. Exit any programming mode by tapping the Master Card once or waiting 15 seconds.

    Function Master Card Taps Then...
    Add a new user card 1 Tap blank card(s) — each becomes a user card
    Delete the card following a given user card 2 Tap the card just before the one you want deleted
    Delete a specific card in your possession 3 Tap the user card to be deleted
    Delete all user cards 4 Within 3 sec., tap master card again to confirm
    Add a new master card 5 Tap blank/user card(s) — each becomes a master card
    Set door release timer 6 Count beeps (1 beep = 1 sec.), tap master card to stop
    Show # of user cards programmed 7 Count beep sequence for each digit
    Set relay toggle mode (timed/latched) 8 1 beep = normal (timed) mode, 2 beeps = latched mode
    Set beeper on/off 10 1 beep = beeper off, 2 beeps = beeper on

    Normal mode: a user card unlocks the door and it automatically re-locks after the timer expires. Latched mode: a user card unlocks the door, and a user card must be tapped again to re-lock it.

    Attempting to add a previously-learned card, or delete anything other than a user card, causes the unit to beep and the LED to flash red.

    Operating Instructions

    • Entering: tap the reader once with a user card. LED flashes Blue once, one short beep, and the relay engages for the programmed time.
    • Exiting: press the egress button once. Same Blue flash/beep/relay behavior.
    • Invalid card: LED flashes Red once and the reader sounds one long beep.

    System Reset

    1. Disconnect power to the reader.
    2. Ground the BLUE wire (or press and hold the egress button if one is connected — do not open the case in that case).
    3. While holding the egress button / grounding the blue wire, reconnect power. The LED blinks Green.
    4. After ~3 seconds, two long beeps sound — release the egress button / un-ground the blue wire.
    5. After a few seconds, the reader sounds 3 beeps and the LED flashes Green rapidly, then slower. Tap any card — this becomes the new first master card.

    Note: After a system reset, all cards except the new master card become blank (invalid) cards.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Check
    LED does not light Check the power connection; check the power supply
    Relay does not activate Use a valid user card; make sure relay isn't in toggle mode; verify N.O. vs N.C. output wiring
    Relay time too short Set the door release time longer
    Egress button not working Confirm it is an N.O. switch; double-check the door release time and relay toggle mode
