    HDMI Loop Output

The transmitter includes a secondary HDMI output for driving a local display in the same room as the HDMI source.

    EDID Settings

An EDID management switch matches display settings to the source device, useful when the display isn't showing an image correctly. Position 1 (default) copies the transmitter's HDMI loop display EDID to the source; Position 2 copies the receiver's HDMI display EDID to the source instead.

    Equalizer DIP Switch Settings

DIP switches on the receiver adjust signal strength/noise compensation based on cable run length, from 0–24ft up through 148–164ft, in roughly 25ft increments — refer to the chart in the printed manual to match the switch position to your actual cable length.

    IR Pass-Through

Supports one-way IR pass-through (30–60 kHz) for remote operation of the source device from the display location. Install the IR transmitter pointed at the device to be controlled, and the IR receiver pointed toward where the remote will be used.

    Installation Steps

    1. Determine transmitter/receiver locations and the required Cat5e/6 cable length.
    2. Connect the transmitter to the HDMI output of the source device.
    3. Run and connect the Cat5e/6 cable between the transmitter and receiver.
    4. Connect the receiver to the HDMI input of the display.
    5. Connect a 5VDC adapter to each unit.
    6. If using IR control, install the IR transmitter at the IR-TX port and the IR receiver at the IR-RX port, using the supplied double-sided tape.
    7. Power on the source and display to verify correct operation. If the image doesn't display correctly, try the other EDID switch position.
    8. If the display flickers, blinks, or shows distortion, adjust the Equalizer DIP switch to match your cable length range.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Fix
HDMI device does not function correctly Confirm T568-B wiring; confirm both extender units are powered; confirm source/display are powered; test the Cat5e/6 cable directly; test the HDMI source/cable/display by connecting them directly together
Screen flickering or brief image loss Use higher-grade cable (Cat6 recommended); lower the source's HDMI output resolution (e.g. 1080p→1080i); power down, flip the EDID switch, and re-power; or restart the full handshake by powering everything down and back up in sequence, starting with the HDMI source
