Note: Do not press the joystick in when setting different modes.

    Before Starting

    • Use the camera within the given temperature and voltage limits.
    • Do not point the camera at the sun — heat can damage it even when not in use.
    • Do not subject the camera to strong vibrations.
    • Do not mount in areas exposed to radiation, strong magnetic fields, or strong electrical signals.

    Installation

    1. Run a 12VDC power supply wire and a video cable with a male BNC connector through the wall to the mounting location.
    2. Loosen the outer case ring and remove the case from the base. Caution: the camera ball is not attached to the case or base — it sits loose inside the case; do not drop it.
    3. Mount the base to the wall with the three included screws (use anchors on drywall/brick).
    4. Run the camera's BNC and power connectors through the base and connect to the wall wiring.
    5. Put the case over the camera ball and onto the base.
    6. Holding the case loosely, turn the camera ball to the desired direction. Adjust zoom/focus via the "ZOOM"/"FOCUS" holes on top of the ball (varifocal models only). Check both day and night images before securing.
    7. Use the OSD controller joystick to adjust camera settings (see the separate OSD manual).
    8. Tighten the outer case ring to secure the camera once positioned.
    9. Do a final test of the video camera and monitor.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Fix
Screen is black Check power, power supply polarity, monitor power, and video cable connection
Image foggy/washed out at night Remove nearby objects/reflective surfaces close to the camera
Screen image is dim Clean the lens; check the light source
Poor contrast Adjust monitor contrast; reposition camera
Flickering / distorted image Reposition camera; check cables and format setting
Camera case is hot / IR LEDs won't turn on Check that the correct power supply is in use

Warning: Stop using the camera if you notice smoke or unusual heat — this could cause fire or electric shock. Do not open the case (no user-serviceable parts). Do not cut any wires, as this voids the warranty.
