Installation and programming manual for the RemoteLock LS-6i (Model LS-6i) WiFi-connected keypad deadbolt.

Overview

The LS-6i is a battery-powered smart lock that connects directly to your WiFi router — no separate hub or bridge required. It's managed through the RemoteLock web portal at RemoteLock.com, where users can create accounts, add codes, and monitor lock/battery/signal status remotely.

Installation Steps

1. Insert the latch into the door's latch hole and secure it with two screws.
2. Drill the 3/8" upper support hole into the door, 3-5/16" above the center of the boring hole.
3. Place the front-side rubber gasket (if required) on the back of the front lock housing.
4. Insert the square spindle into the center hub, ensuring the dot points left.
5. Fit the front of the lock housing onto the door, feeding the power plug through the door hole.
6. Place the inside gasket on the inside plate, feed the power plug through, and secure the plate to the door and front lock with 3 screws.
7. Hold the inside lock housing up to the inside of the door and plug the front lock power cable into the connector on the back.
8. Place the inside lock over the mounting plate and secure with screws.
9. Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
10. Secure the inside lock housing battery cover with two screws.
11. Slide the inside lever into place and press firmly until the handle snaps over the catch pins.

Front Handle Installation

1. Ensure the key override slot is in the horizontal position.
2. Slide the key cylinder into the back of the handle.
3. Insert the key into the key cylinder from the front of the handle.
4. Slide the handle onto the drive shaft until it hits the catch pins.
5. Push the key in as far as it will go, then turn 90 degrees clockwise.
6. Firmly press the lever until it snaps over the catch pins. Turn the key back to the left and remove.

Connecting the Lock to WiFi

1. Connect the front-to-back cable, then install batteries (if batteries were already installed, remove one temporarily to reset the lock).
2. On your phone or laptop, go to WiFi settings.
3. Select the network starting with "RemoteLock-".
4. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1.
5. Select your home WiFi router's network name, then enter its passphrase.
6. Click Submit. It may take a minute for the lock to show as connected.

Creating an Account and Adding the Lock

1. Register at RemoteLock.com/signup and select the desired plan, or log in at RemoteLock.com/login (forwards to DeviceWebManager.com).
2. Click into the Locks section in the upper navigation.
3. Select "Add Lock".
4. Select Model # LS-6i.
5. Enter the Serial Number found on the sticker on the back of the lock and on the packaging box.
6. Click Create Lock.

Once connected, the portal shows current lock status, battery level, and WiFi signal strength (refresh the page if needed).

Heart Beat Interval

The WiFi radio sleeps between intervals to conserve battery — this is the Heart Beat Interval, default 20 minutes. While asleep, portal commands (lock/unlock) won't be received until the radio wakes. Any keypad press wakes the radio immediately, so unlock events are reported right away. On the lock's Settings page, you can set the "WiFi Update Interval" to "Always On" for immediate command response — but remember to set it back to 20–30 minutes afterward to preserve battery life.

Keypad Programming Functions

All keypad programming follows the format: Programing Code # Function Code # Value (if needed) #. The Programing Code acts as a password (4-8 digits, default 123456).

WiFi Status Beep Codes

• 2 green beeps = successfully connected
• 1 green, 2 red beeps = in AP mode
• 1 green, 3 red beeps = no internet access
• 1 red, 1 green beeps = in Sleep mode
• 4 short red beeps = disconnected / error

Unlocking with a User Code

Enter the User Code followed by the # key (think of it as the enter button). Example: 1234 #
