    Settings and Installation Guide for the OPTEX IVPC-DI Door Interface — part of the IVPC video intercom system. The IVPC-DI can operate as a chime, a dry relay output, or both, and is commonly used to switch power to a maglock or door strike.

    LED Indications

    Parts include: pairing switch, mode switch, LED indicator, speaker, volume +/- button (mute + 3 steps — a confirmation beep sounds when muted), relay output terminal, and power input terminal. Accessories: screws & anchors, mounting plate.

    What to Expect (3 Steps)

    1. Mounting and wiring: mount the IVPC-DI, connect power wires and signal wires to external devices.
    2. Pairing: pair the IVPC-DI to the IVPC-DS (door station) using the IVPC-MS or the OPTEX Vision App.
    3. Operation check: test the performance of the IVPC-DI and connected external devices.

    Step 1 — Mounting and Wiring

    1. Turn off all equipment, including the external devices of the system.
    2. Remove the main unit from the mounting plate (slide up, pull off).
    3. Pass the wires through and fix the mounting plate to the wall.
    4. Wire to the terminals: N.O. (e.g. strike), COM, N.C. (e.g. maglock); power 10–24V AC/DC. Polarity is not a concern.
    5. Mount the main unit on the mounting plate (attach, slide down).
    6. Turn all equipment back on.

    Relay Output Wiring Examples

    • Door Strike: N.O. and COM terminals to the power supply and strike.
    • Magnetic Lock: COM and N.C. terminals to the power supply and maglock.

    Step 2 — Pairing

    1. Press the doorbell on the IVPC-DS to initiate pairing with the IVPC-DI.
    2. After accepting the call, press the icon shown on-screen to start the wizard for the IVPC-DI.
    3. Confirm the correct number of paired chimes is shown at the completion of the wizard.

    Note: One IVPC-DS can pair with up to four IVPC-DI units, but only one IVPC-DI can be assigned to operate its relay — the other three are limited to sounding their chimes (all chimes sound simultaneously, with the same tone type). Example use case: one IVPC-DI operates the front door lock while a second serves as a chime in a back room.

    Unlock Setting

    1. Press the "Unlock Setting" button.
    2. Select which chime will also function as a door release.

    An "Unlock" marking is displayed on the assigned IVPC-DI once configured.

    Step 3 — Operation Check

    • Chime sound: Push the doorbell button on the IVPC-DS, then confirm the chime tone on the IVPC-DI.
    • Door strike: Push the door release button on the IVPC-MS or OPTEX Vision App screen, then confirm the door has been released.

    Communication uses a 916 MHz signal between the IVPC-DS and IVPC-DI, and Wi-Fi between the IVPC-DS/MS/OPTEX Vision App.

    Troubleshooting
