Overview

The NV-WA40W-AMP allows two line-level sources to be permanently wired into the back panel as switchable Input A or Input B, plus two optional front-panel stereo mini inputs for local sources. It fits standard 50 x 50mm UK wall boxes (35mm deep) and includes a screwless trim plate kit; a standard Decora trim plate is available for North American installations.

Front Panel Features

1. Volume: increase/decrease amplifier output.
2. A/B: toggles between the hardwired A/B back-panel inputs or the front-panel inputs. Front-panel inputs override the back-panel inputs when in use.
3. IR Sensor: receives signals from the NuVo wireless remote for wireless power, volume, and A/B source control.
4. Audio Inputs: two front-panel stereo inputs accept any device with a stereo line-level signal.
5. Power: toggles the amplifier on/off.

Back Panel Features

1. DC Input: 16V DC, 2.81A — connects to the included power supply.
2. Speaker Output: terminates with standard speaker wire; designed for a pair of 4-ohm speakers or a single stereo speaker rated at 4 ohms per channel.
3. Audio Inputs A and B: permanently hardwire up to two line-level sources; select playback source via the front-panel A/B button or remote. Automatically overridden when a front-panel input is used.

Installation

1. Choose the location and cut out for a standard 35mm deep, 50 x 50mm UK back box (the amplifier is compatible with standard 50 x 50mm wall plates).
2. Plan speaker placement — in-wall, in-ceiling, floor-standing, or bookshelf speakers are all fine, but should present no less than a 4-ohm load. 16-gauge 2- or 4-conductor speaker wire is recommended, routed to the cutout for termination.
3. Route the power supply to the same cutout and terminate the positive/negative leads at the back of the amplifier.
4. Connect optional back-panel audio inputs: strip the left, right, and ground leads on a stereo RCA or 3.5mm stereo mini cable and terminate them into the appropriate screw-down terminals (Input A / Input B).
5. Screw the mounting plate into the installed back box.
6. Snap the amplifier into the mounting plate and install the screwless trim plate over the assembly.

Once powered on, the ON LED lights. Any signal wired to the back panel amplifies to the attached speakers; plugging into a front-panel 3.5mm input automatically overrides the back-panel inputs.

NV-WA40W-SPK Speakers

The package includes a pair of on-wall speakers with mounting brackets. To terminate: strip about 5–6mm of insulation from the speaker wire, press the desired speaker terminal, and insert the stripped wire. Match positive/negative polarity consistently at both the speaker and the amplifier.
