Basic 1600 Features

• Large 1/2" LED display shows the time and aids setting alarms
• Audible alarm can be set up to 4 times a day — the "Time for medicine" alarm beeps 5 seconds on, 1 second off, continuously until the medication door is slid open and the off position is activated
• Programmable alarm duration: 30, 45, 60, or 250 minutes, as selected by the user
• Audible alarm is 90dB, 2800–3000Hz (the 1600LF variant is approximately 400Hz)
• Only the most recent medication dose is available — the pill tray rotates to the next dose when the next audible alarm sounds. If a patient misses a dose, the dispenser denies access to the missed dose

Capacity & Design

• Holds 28 doses of dry medication such as pills or capsules:
  • 4 doses/day for 7 days
  • 3 doses/day for 9 days
  • 2 doses/day for 14 days
  • 1 dose/day for 28 days
• Alarm is as easy to set as a digital clock
• Medication is under lock and key
• Pill compartments are sized for adult fingers and "ramped" for easy removal of medication
• Compartment divisions keep medications in place even if the unit is turned upside-down
• Should remain plugged into electric power; includes a 48-hour rechargeable battery back-up for travel or power failures. Not intended for wet or very damp environments
• "OFF" feature for long-term disabling of the dispenser
• "Early dosage" feature allows taking a dose ahead of schedule with the caregiver

Options

1. 5310 Extra Pill Tray with clear plastic lid — preload an additional tray for convenience.
2. 1600FL Alarm With Flashing Light for the hearing impaired — audible alarm plus a flashing light.
3. 1600LF Lower Frequency Alarm — louder alarm tone for those losing high-frequency hearing.
4. 1650 Remote Monitoring — plug the added telephone cable connector from the MedReady unit into the phone line.
   • Patient only needs a phone line; caregiver accesses a secure website to review actual medication times
   • Monthly service plan required
   • Calls up to 3 phone numbers, leaves messages, and sends email if a dose is not taken
   • A record of medication compliance/non-compliance is available on the medready.net website
