Maxocam V380 Pro App — Quick Installation Guide

Overview

This Quick Installation Guide covers setting up the Maxocam V380 Pro app and connecting a Maxocam V380 Pro Wi-Fi camera to your home network, from account registration through final password setup.

1. Install the App & Create Your Account

1. Install the V380 Pro app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
2. Start the app; on the last intro screen, tap Try Now.
3. Tap Register, then tap the Region selector and choose North America.
4. Enter your email address (this becomes your account ID) and tap Verify Code.
5. Check your email for a 6-digit code. Enter it within 60 seconds (tap Verify Code again to resend if needed), then tap Next. Set a password (6–16 characters, letters and numbers, case-sensitive) and tap Submit.
6. Tap Login and sign in with your new email/password.

Account registration is now complete.

Wi-Fi Signal Strength Tips

Wi-Fi signal strength can diminish when passing through barriers such as walls, ceilings, and furniture, as well as with increased distance between router and camera. An upload/download speed of more than 2 Mbps at the camera location is recommended for stable operation — test with a free speed-test app on your phone. If speed is insufficient, a Wi-Fi range extender may be needed.

2. Connect the Camera to Your Wi-Fi

iOS

1. Tap Add Camera and connect the camera to power. Tap "Next."
2. Wait until you hear "Access-Point established," then tap the arrow to continue.
3. Go to your iPhone's Wi-Fi Settings, connect to the camera's access point (named MVxxxxxxxx), then return to the app. Wait for the signal icon to appear in the status bar (about 40 seconds), then tap "Next."
4. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and tap "Start."

Android

1. Tap the access point number (MVxxxxxxxx) shown in the app (tap Refresh if it doesn't appear).
2. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router, enter the password, and tap "Confirm."

Note: 5GHz Wi-Fi networks are not supported — only 2.4GHz.

3. Optionally select or enter a device name, or skip. Wait until you hear "WiFi connected."
4. Tap Play, then tap "Set password." Enter a password (letters and numbers) and tap "Confirm."

The camera is now ready to use.

Restore to Factory Default Settings

Make sure power is connected. Press the camera's Reset button for more than 5 seconds. You will hear: "Restore factory's default setting" → "Access Point establishing" → "Access Point established."

Important Notes

• You must hear the audio prompts during setup — if you don't hear "WiFi Connecting" / "WiFi Connected," you likely entered the wrong Wi-Fi password.
• iOS users: waiting for the Wi-Fi signal icon in the status bar before returning to the app is a critical step.
• Setting a device password is strongly recommended for privacy when viewing the camera off-site.
