ELK 319 Series wireless sensor setting and enrollment guide for the ELK E27 Alarm Engine — covers door/window, PIR, glass break, water, heat, and panic sensors.
ELK 319 Series wireless sensor setting and enrollment guide for the ELK E27 Alarm Engine. Transmitters can be enrolled via the ElkConnect app using Learn Mode, or by manually entering the TXID. Advanced settings (Opt1, Opt2, Loop #) for each sensor model are detailed below.
Enroll: Remove cover, pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power. Press and release the tamper plunger to send enrollment to the panel.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 (External Contact) = OFF; Opt2 (Open/Closed Swap) = OFF; Loop # = 2
Enroll: Remove cover, pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power. Press and release the tamper plunger.
| Configuration | Opt1 | Opt2 | Loop # |
|---|---|---|---|
| Built-in reed switch | OFF | OFF | 2 |
| External N.O. switch | ON | ON | 1 |
| External N.C. switch | ON | OFF | 1 |
Note: Two screw terminals allow an external switch in place of the built-in reed. The reed and external switch are NOT designed to be used simultaneously.
Enroll: Remove cover, pull out battery isolation tab. Place a magnet to the sensor and remove it to send enrollment.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 2
Note: To change the battery, remove the end cap by twisting 1/8" CCW using a coin or screwdriver, then gently grasp the board's edge with needle-nose pliers and pull out.
Enrolling the Built-In Reed: Remove cover; start the panel enroll process; hold a finger on the tamper plunger while removing battery isolation tabs (or inserting batteries) to apply power — keep your finger on the tamper. The panel enrolls the reed and displays the printed TXID # +1 digit higher.
Enrolling the Shock: Remove battery isolation tabs to apply power; start the panel enroll process; remove the cover or press/release the tamper switch. The panel enrolls the shock at the printed TXID #.
Advanced Settings (applies to both reed and shock): Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 2
Note: The reed and shock each require 2 separate panel zones. The printed TXID # is for the shock; the reed uses the same TXID with the last digit +1.
Enroll: Pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power and send enrollment. If already powered, push and release the tamper.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 1
Note: Has a 3-minute sleep-mode lockout between motion detections to conserve battery. For walk testing, momentarily remove the sensor from its base to bypass the lockout. Walk test ends after 1 minute of no motion.
Same enroll process, advanced settings, and walk-test behavior as the ELK-319PIRC above.
Enroll: Pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power and send enrollment. If already powered, push and release the tamper.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 1
Note: A 5-minute test mode activates when batteries are first installed — test microphone detection range by clapping or jingling keys. Restart test mode anytime by removing/reinstalling batteries. Full alarm testing requires an acoustic glass-break tester.
Enroll: Pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power and send enrollment. If already powered, push and release the tamper.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 2
Note: To test, form a water bridge between the two metallic contact points with a moistened finger or cloth. A properly working sensor triggers an alarm within ~3 seconds.
Enroll: Pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power and send enrollment. If already powered, push and release the tamper.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 1
Note: To run a manual test, hold a magnet next to the mark on the front edge for ~15 seconds.
Enroll: Pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power and send enrollment. If already powered, press and hold the button.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 1
Note: Program the zone definition to the desired alarm type (Panic or Medical).
Same enrollment (press and hold the button if already powered) and settings as the ELK-319PB1 above (Panic or Medical alarm type).
Enroll: Pull out battery isolation tabs to apply power and send enrollment. If already powered, press and hold the light bulb and asterisk buttons together.
Advanced Settings: Opt1 = OFF; Opt2 = OFF; Loop # = 1
Note: Program the desired Area and User for arm/disarm functionality. If alarm activation on the asterisk button is desired, program the zone definition to the desired alarm type (Panic or Medical).
