    Full text manual (for reference)

Quick Install Guide for the Luxul XWR-1200 Dual-Band Wireless AC1200 Gigabit Router. This guide covers physical installation, connecting antennas/Ethernet/power, initial IP addressing, first-time login, and hardware LED indicators for troubleshooting.

    What's Included

    • Dual-Band Wireless AC1200 Gigabit Router (XWR-1200)
    • Dual-Band Antennas (2)
    • Ethernet Cable
    • Power Adapter

    1. Physical Installation

The XWR-1200 is designed for simple, efficient installation:

    • Horizontal installation: Install the rubber feet and position the router on a desk or other horizontal surface, leaving adequate room around the device for ventilation.
    • Wall or ceiling mounting: Follow the included mounting pattern and use the mounting keyholes on the router.

    2. Connecting Antennas, Ethernet, and Power

    • Antennas: Ensure all dual-band antennas are installed on the router before powering it up — both antennas are required for optimal performance.
    • Internet connection: Connect the Ethernet cable from your modem/router equipment (provided by your ISP) to the black INTERNET port on the XWR-1200.
    • AC power: Connect the included AC adapter to the XWR-1200 first, then plug it into the AC outlet.

    3. Preparing for Access — IP Addressing

The XWR-1200's default LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1. The built-in DHCP server is configured by default to create a 192.168.0.x network. For hassle-free plug-and-play installation of other Luxul hardware, it's recommended to keep the default IP address if possible (though it can be changed).

If your client device is set to obtain an IP address automatically, no further configuration is needed — skip ahead to Access and Setup. If not, set a temporary static IP on your computer in the 192.168.0.X range, with the Gateway/Router address set to 192.168.0.1.

    4. Access and Setup

    Getting Connected

    • Via Ethernet (preferred): Connect your computer to one of the green LAN ports on the XWR-1200.
    • Via Wi-Fi: Connect to one of the default wireless networks — Luxul1200 (2.4GHz) or Luxul12005G (5GHz). Both run in Open security mode by default, so no passphrase is needed until wireless security is configured. Only 5GHz-capable devices will see the Luxul12005G network.

    Logging In

Open a web browser and enter 192.168.0.1, then log in with the default credentials:

    • Default IP: 192.168.0.1
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin

If another device on your network already uses 192.168.0.1, reassign that device a different address before configuring the XWR-1200.

    5. Advanced Configuration — Wireless Controller

The XWR-1200 can manage up to two additional access points to enable wireless client roaming and simplified configuration. Ensure one or two compatible access points are on the same network, then select Wireless Controller from the router's web configuration interface and follow the on-screen help to add the access point(s).

Caution: Do not manually configure access points you intend to manage with the XWR-1200 for seamless roaming — doing so results in a standalone AP that the router cannot find or manage.

For advanced features such as DDNS, VPN, etc., refer to the support resources at luxul.com.

    6. Hardware Operation — Front Panel LED Indicators

    Indicator Status Function
5GHz ON A 5GHz wireless network is broadcasting.
    2.4GHz ON A 2.4GHz network is broadcasting.
LAN 1-4 LED ON / FLASHING Device connected / data being transmitted on that Ethernet port.
Internet LED ON / FLASHING Router connected to ISP / data being transmitted.
USB LED ON A USB-enabled device is connected and configured.
System LED ON / FLASHING / OFF Booting / operating normally / not booting.
Power LED ON / OFF Power applied / not applied.

    Rear Panel Connections

    • Antenna Ports: 4 RPSMA female antenna ports for the included antennas. Both antennas should be installed prior to powering up for optimal performance.
    • Power Input: Power adapter included. To reboot the router, disconnect the power adapter, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect.
    • WAN Port: (1) black RJ-45 Ethernet port for Internet connection.
    • LAN 1-4 Ports: (4) green RJ-45 Ethernet ports for the local network. A Luxul switch is recommended alongside the XWR-1200 to increase available local ports.
    • Reset Button: Used to restore factory default settings.

    Factory Reset

Caution: Holding the Reset button longer than 10 seconds will result in a factory reset, which removes all custom settings. To restore factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button until the System LED stops flashing (approximately 20 seconds) — a factory reset takes about one minute to complete. A successful reset is indicated when all Port LEDs flash once; the unit is ready when the System LED starts flashing again.
