Quick Install Guide for the Luxul XWR-1200 Dual-Band Wireless AC1200 Gigabit Router — covers physical installation, IP addressing, initial access, and LED indicators.
Quick Install Guide for the Luxul XWR-1200 Dual-Band Wireless AC1200 Gigabit Router. This guide covers physical installation, connecting antennas/Ethernet/power, initial IP addressing, first-time login, and hardware LED indicators for troubleshooting.
The XWR-1200 is designed for simple, efficient installation:
The XWR-1200's default LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1. The built-in DHCP server is configured by default to create a 192.168.0.x network. For hassle-free plug-and-play installation of other Luxul hardware, it's recommended to keep the default IP address if possible (though it can be changed).
If your client device is set to obtain an IP address automatically, no further configuration is needed — skip ahead to Access and Setup. If not, set a temporary static IP on your computer in the 192.168.0.X range, with the Gateway/Router address set to 192.168.0.1.
Open a web browser and enter 192.168.0.1, then log in with the default credentials:
If another device on your network already uses 192.168.0.1, reassign that device a different address before configuring the XWR-1200.
The XWR-1200 can manage up to two additional access points to enable wireless client roaming and simplified configuration. Ensure one or two compatible access points are on the same network, then select Wireless Controller from the router's web configuration interface and follow the on-screen help to add the access point(s).
Caution: Do not manually configure access points you intend to manage with the XWR-1200 for seamless roaming — doing so results in a standalone AP that the router cannot find or manage.

| Indicator | Status | Function |
|---|---|---|
| 5GHz | ON | A 5GHz wireless network is broadcasting. |
| 2.4GHz | ON | A 2.4GHz network is broadcasting. |
| LAN 1-4 LED | ON / FLASHING | Device connected / data being transmitted on that Ethernet port. |
| Internet LED | ON / FLASHING | Router connected to ISP / data being transmitted. |
| USB LED | ON | A USB-enabled device is connected and configured. |
| System LED | ON / FLASHING / OFF | Booting / operating normally / not booting. |
| Power LED | ON / OFF | Power applied / not applied. |
Caution: Holding the Reset button longer than 10 seconds will result in a factory reset, which removes all custom settings. To restore factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button until the System LED stops flashing (approximately 20 seconds) — a factory reset takes about one minute to complete. A successful reset is indicated when all Port LEDs flash once; the unit is ready when the System LED starts flashing again.
