    Linear Communications Solutions Catalog — the full product line reference for Linear's DMC1, DMC3-4, DMC-10, and Encore music/communication (intercom) systems, formerly manufactured under the M&S Systems brand.

    Product Line Overview

    For more than 50 years, M&S Systems was the leading designer and manufacturer of home communication and entertainment systems. That legacy now continues under Linear. This catalog covers four system families:

    • DMC1 Music/Communication System — for new installations using CAT-5 wire. Communicates and monitors up to 15 rooms, supplies digitally-tuned AM/FM radio to each room, and supports the optional iPlay® Dock (MP3/CD) or 6-disc CD changer.
    • DMC3-4 Music/Communication Retrofit System — engineered to run on existing 3-wire or 4-wire intercom wiring (use DMC1 for 6-wire retrofits). Replaces most older 3-wire/4-wire M&S Systems, NuTone, and other intercoms without repairing drywall, via retrofit finish-out frames.
    • DMC-10 Structured Wire Intercom System — a hub-based system for homes with a central structured-wiring cabinet. Supports up to 8 room/door/patio stations per hub (16 with a second hub), each connected via CAT-5 (up to 500 ft per station) with Type 110 punch-down terminals.
    • Encore Distributed Audio System — digital audio distribution for new or existing structured-wire installations, using single-run CAT-5 wiring.

    Faceplate 4-packs are available for door, patio, and room stations in white, almond, black, antique brass, bright brass, and satin nickel finishes (e.g. DMC-10DFAB-4, DMC-10PFBB-4, DMC-10RFW-4).
