Installation Steps

1. Download NuVo software. The current Configurator software and NV-CTP36-V2 firmware require registering at nuvotechnologies.com/prozone (Dealer Resource Center → Software Download). Select SW-I8G/E6G for Grand Concerto or SW-RV for Renovia programming software, then select SW-CTP36-V2 for the touch pad firmware (zipped file).
2. Write your configuration. The Color Touch Pad needs a zone address assigned through the NuVo Configurator software. For single-zone control, address the control pad to that zone number. For multi-zone control, create two zones: one in the amplified zone where it's located, and an additional address in a non-audio zone (Grand Concerto zones 17-20, Renovia zones 13-15 & 17-20), then use "Slave to" to link it to the audio zone.
3. Wire run. If replacing an existing NuVo control pad, skip this step. Otherwise, run CAT5 wire from the Grand Concerto EZPort location to the Color Touch Pad location, terminating each end with RJ45 (568a configuration). Plug into an open RJ45 port on the EZPort. For Renovia in-wall zone amps, run CAT5 from the Zone Amp's NuVoNet connection (or from the Freestanding Zone Amplifier's NuVoNet connection) to the touch pad location.
4. NuVoNet connection. Connect the CAT5 cable to the RJ45 connector labeled NuVoNet on the back of the CTP36-V2.
5. Mounting. Install at average eye level, in a standard dual-gang pre-construction or "old works" mounting ring/box. First mount the included metal mounting ring into the wall mud ring or low-voltage box, then screw the CTP36-V2 into the mounting ring.
6. Update the firmware. First update your Grand Concerto or Renovia system by uploading the configuration file — via DB9 serial cable to the Grand Concerto programming port (a USB-to-serial adapter is usually needed on modern laptops), or via USB cable for Renovia. Then update the NV-CTP36 firmware itself: connect a laptop to the touch pad's front USB port with a USB-A to Mini-B cable, run CTP36Loader.exe, and follow the on-screen prompts.
7. Address the Color Touch Pad. Select the pre-labeled zone name for this control pad in the NuVo Configurator's zone tab. If using multi-zone control, select the zone name addressed in the non-audio zone (from step 2), not the amplified zone; then press Home → Tool icon → Touchscreen Options → check "Multi-zone Control" to enable multi-room control.

Recalibration & Factory Reset

• Recalibrate touch sensing: Press the Reset button, then press and hold the Power button while the Color Touch Pad starts. Follow the on-screen instructions.
• Restore factory defaults: Press the Reset button, then press and hold the Volume Up button at startup.
