The RC-1500 Lumina RF ZigBee thermostat provides precise control over heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in a home or business. It uses advanced digital technology that learns heating/cooling patterns for maximum efficiency and comfort, and communicates via the ZigBee Home Automation profile with a high-power radio rated to over 200 ft range.

Application & Overview

The RC-1500 is a universal thermostat similar to the RC-2000, but without humidity monitoring/control, serial communication to external devices (TDC), or emergency heat mode relay signals. It communicates to an Omni or Lumina controller via ZigBee (not hardwire).

Using ZigBee wireless mesh technology, the thermostat provides precise digital control over two stages of cooling, three stages of heating, and features automatic heat/cool changeover. Temperature readings are available in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, with simple or advanced display modes — a perfect universal device for a larger ZigBee automation system.

Turn the scroll wheel left or right to adjust the temperature, and use the three buttons to navigate the on-screen menu: view temperature setpoints, modes, outdoor temperature, weekly run time, and more. Backlighting color is adjustable between blue, red, and green with the turn of the scroll wheel.
