Quick Setup

1. Plug the included 5V AC cord into a wall outlet, then into the weather station.
2. Insert 3 new AAA Alkaline batteries into the weather station (correct polarity).
3. Insert 2 new AA batteries into the TX141TH-BV2 outdoor sensor (correct polarity) — the red LED flashes during transmission.

Restart procedure: If outdoor temperature doesn't display after 3 minutes, unplug the AC adapter, remove batteries from both the station and sensor, press any button 20 times, wait 15 minutes, then redo the quick setup steps.

Ensure the outdoor transmitter is within 10 feet of the weather station during initial pairing. Use Alkaline batteries in the sensor (or Lithium for temperatures below -20°F/-28.8°C).

Button Functions

Setting Time, Date & Temperature Unit

Hold TIME SET to enter setup mode, then use ▼/▲ to adjust and TIME SET to confirm and advance through each item, in order:

1. WWVB time signal (On/Off) — defaults ON
2. Time Zone — 7 zones: AST, EST, CST, MST, PST, AKT, HAT (default EST)
3. DST (Daylight Saving Time On/Off) — defaults ON
4. 12/24-hour time format — defaults 12-hour
5. Hour
6. Minutes
7. Year (2000-2039)
8. Month
9. Date (day of week sets automatically)
10. Fahrenheit/Celsius

Press TIME SET to exit at any point, or wait 20 seconds without pressing a button to return to normal display.

Temperature Alerts

Hold ALERT for 5 seconds until the station beeps to enter Alert setting mode. Values are set in sequence: Outdoor High → Outdoor Low → Indoor High → Indoor Low, using ▼/▲ to adjust and ALERT to confirm/advance.

Arm/Disarm: in normal display, press ALERT to select which alert to toggle (Outdoor Hi/Lo, Indoor Hi/Lo), then press ▲ to arm or ▼ to disarm. "OFF" shows in the Alerts area if no alert is active. When triggered, the alert beeps once per minute until the temperature returns to range; press any button to silence (bell icon remains).

Time Alarm

• Set: hold ALARM for 5 seconds, set hour then minutes with ▼/▲, confirm with ALARM. Bell icon shows the alarm is active; it flashes while sounding.
• Deactivate: press ALARM once to show the alarm time, then press again to deactivate — bell icon disappears.
• Snooze: press SNOOZE/LIGHT during the alarm for a 10-minute snooze (Zz icon flashes). Press ALARM while snoozing to stop the alarm for the day. Unattended, the alarm sounds for 2 minutes then shuts off automatically.

Heat Index & Dew Point

Heat Index: combines heat and humidity into an apparent "feels like" temperature. Matches the actual temperature until it exceeds 80°F (26.7°C). View by pressing HEAT/DEW once.

Dew Point: the temperature air must cool to for condensation to form — always lower than actual temperature. View by pressing HEAT/DEW twice. Each reading displays for 10 seconds before reverting to the default view.

Trends, Min/Max & Forecast Icons

Trend indicators update every 30 minutes or less, reflecting temperature/humidity change over the past 3 hours (rising, steady, or falling arrows for both temp and humidity).

Min/Max: resets automatically at midnight. Press ▼ to view daily minimums (hold 5 sec to reset); press ▲ to view daily maximums (hold 5 sec to reset).

Animated Forecast Icons (Sunny, Partly Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Stormy, Snowy) predict conditions ~12 hours out with 70-75% accuracy based on barometric pressure sampled every 12 minutes. Allow 3-4 weeks for the station to calibrate to your location — it compares current average pressure to a rolling 40-day average for improving accuracy. Icons indicate whether weather is trending better or worse, not necessarily the literal condition shown (e.g., a "rainy" icon during cloudy weather means pressure has dropped and conditions are expected to worsen — not that rain is guaranteed).

Forecast Tendency Indicators (arrows): Rising pressure = improving weather; steady pressure = no change expected; falling pressure = worsening weather expected.

Outdoor Sensor Placement

• Mount on a north-facing wall or in a well-shaded area — under an eave or deck rail is preferred.
• Maximum wireless range: over 300 feet (91m) in open air (not including walls/floors).
• Mount the sensor vertically.

Low Battery Indicator

The low battery icon indicates which unit needs new batteries: if shown in the Outdoor Temperature section, replace the outdoor sensor's batteries; if shown in the Indoor Temperature section, replace the weather station's batteries.

Care & Maintenance

• Do not mix old and new batteries, or different battery chemistries (Alkaline/Standard/Lithium/Rechargeable).
• Replace all batteries in a set at the same time; observe correct polarity.
• Clean battery contacts before installation; remove batteries during extended non-use, and remove expired batteries promptly.
• Avoid extreme temperature, vibration, or shock; clean with a soft damp cloth only (no solvents).
• For home use only — not a toy, not for medical use or public information display.
• If not working properly, change batteries and/or check the AC cord connection first.
