    Product manual for the IST (Intrasonic Technology) JA-BT-VC Bluetooth Stereo Volume Control with Class D Amplifier — a wall-mounted device that replaces a traditional volume control while adding Bluetooth audio streaming and a built-in amplifier for zone or standalone speaker use.

    Overview

    The JA-BT-VC replaces a traditional volume control to give independent zone control, or can be used as a standalone amplifier solution for hard-to-wire locations. It installs into a standard electrical box and delivers high performance from a small, hidden device — no rewiring of existing 16-gauge speaker wire is needed.

    All you need is the JA-BT-VC and a set of speakers — either in-wall or bookshelf — connected to the existing wall wiring. It amplifies audio from smart phone apps like Pandora, Spotify, native music players, YouTube, Amazon Video, Netflix, and more, turning any room into a mini home theater.

    Setting Up or Changing the BT Device Name

    1. Install the exclusive software provided on disk to your computer.
    2. Connect the Micro USB cable to your computer before powering on the device.
    3. Turn on the device — the blue light flashes.
    4. Press and hold the tact switch for one minute, until the light turns off.
    5. Your computer will prompt you to install the software (found in C:/Program).
    6. Once installed, double-click PSTool.
    7. Choose USB in the software interface — the port will display the found BT device.
    8. In the "Location…" field on the left, and the existing BT device name on the right, enter a new room name and click "SET."
    9. Turn off and re-power the device to apply the change.

    Power Requirements

    • Requires a UL-approved AC-DC power cord: 24V, 3A minimum for rated power output (not included).
    • Compatible adapter specs: 110–240V AC input, 24V DC output, 3A, UL approved, DC female standard Φ2.1mm.
    • If powering two JA-BT-VC units, a 5A adapter is suggested.
    • Double-check polarity before making wire connections — it cannot be reversed.
