    • Composed of a micro-processor, micro-transmitter, lithium battery, and optimized antenna.
    • Battery life: 5+ years average.
MICRA sensor installation steps: measure and drill, place and set, sash magnet placement
Installation steps — measure and drill the cavity, insert the MICRA transmitter, then place the sash magnet.

    Installation Steps

Step 1 — Measure and Drill

Using a 3/4" Forstner drill bit, drill into the vinyl window mainframe. Warning: do not penetrate the outer wall of the window frame — the cavity core depth is 0.33". For side-mount transmitter placement on vinyl sliders, measure 3" down from the inside top corner.

Step 2 — Place and Set

Insert the MICRA sensor into the drilled cavity. Carefully insert the antenna and place the transmitter body — do not cut or coil the antenna.

Step 3 — Sash Magnet Placement

Place the adhesive-backed Surface Mount Magnet aligned with the MICRA Transmitter, per the required orientation for reliable triggering.

MICRA sensor dimensional drawing and how-it-works schematic
Dimensional drawing and "how it works" schematic — the sensor triggers an alarm when separated from the magnet.

    How It Works

The MICRA sensor and its companion sash magnet are installed close together inside the window frame. When the window opens and the magnet moves away from the sensor, the transmitter detects the separation and sends an alarm signal to the connected DSC or GE wireless receiver.
